February Update

Hey all! January is over and it's been an amazing month. Here's a quick summary of what happened.

The City of Hofendal

The first map that I published this month was the City of Hofendal. A modest city, but the biggest one I have drawn so far. I had a blast creating it as it was pretty well received. I hope to be able to do more like that. Another cool thing about the map is that it takes place in the same world (and even the same kingdom) as the swamp themed maps. So far I'm not sure if I want all my maps to be in the same universe, or have them all set in their own. Having each theme it its own universe allows more freedomHowever, having all maps set in the same universe would allow for some cool world building, especially when we reach the next goal. 

First Goal Reached

Speaking of which, we reached the first goal this month! I was really thrilled to reach this first milestone so early on, and it really makes me want to continue building this page and the community around it. As a thank you I posted a time lapse of me drawing the City of Hofendal from scratch!

Our next goal is set at $250 and when we reach that I'll start making World Anvil pages for each theme (or one single world anvil page if we decide to have all maps set in the same universe). On the World Anvil page I'll post lore about the locations and NPCs of the world.

The Sewers of Hofendal

The next map continued to explore the city of Hofendal; this time it showed the Sewers of Hofendal. This was another cool map that I enjoyed a lot, and something I had never done before. It took a little trial and error, but in the end it adds a whole new level to the city (pun intended)

Collapsed Sewer

The latest map of January (though technically February) was the Collapsed sewer. It shows part of the sewers of Hofendal, though it can of course be used for any city. 

I really enjoy exploring all this different parts of the same place, and I hope you do too. 

For February I plan to do a map of one of the taverns in Hofendal, and also a set of miniatured to use in the sewers. If I have enough time I'll also try to do a third map. I'm not yet sure what it will be of. Maybe the castle, or another part of the sewer? Please let me know what you'd like to see next!
