The Bazaar of Sokoudem is a bustling trading hub in the city of Akamtis. It was built in the ruins of an old palace of the Sokoudem dynasty who ruled the lands before the Fall of Parretoa.
At the mouth of the Delasis Delta is the city of Akamtis. It's a bustling city of crowded streets and alleyways. In the center of the city is a large building that looks like a patchwork of different architectural styles. Originally the buildings was the palace for the ruling dynasty of Tarnen. After the Fall of Parretoa the dynasty fell and the place was abandoned. During the Arcane Plague it was used as an hospital.
These days the old palace is rebuild into the Bazaar of Sokoudem, a bustling trading hub with a variety of shops, taverns and stalls. All sorts of transaction are made throughout any day and these, along with any other kind of trade, are all monitored by a single person. The Prince of Sokoudem is a title granted to the most influential merchant of Akamtis, chosen from the Council of Merchants.
The Prince acts as a Minister of Trade and is reelected every two years. It is possible for merchants to be reelected as Prince, but they can no serve consecutive terms.
