I tried picking the best shots + some alright ones for variety. Should definitely call Carnelian in for help more often.
We shot this in two different rental rooms, moving quickly between them. Yes, the mirror and the bed are in the same room.
You can see Carnelian with my equipment in one of the pics. It's a lot of stuff to carry and a surprising amount of weight, too.
I imagined the main idea of this being a giantess kind of thing. Never done it before so made a very stupid mistake of hoping the white seamless would cover enough of the upwards angle in the second half of the video. It... really didn't. Had to mask aaaalll of the ceiling and stuff to the sides in post, giving it a kind of ethereal feel which sort of even worked out in the end.
Sorting through this set it's also insane seeing how good phone pics are now, especially ones taken with iPhones (some of the first photos are shot on Selenite's iPhone uhhhh... 14? not sure). They take decently well to colour grading too; the biggest annoyance is how much white balance, tint and overall exposure vary from shot to shot though.
Postproduction for this video was an absolute nightmare and I even considered writing a huge rant which boiled down to 'why do I even bother with pushing the quality of these if being a solo filmmaker on a weekly schedule hard limits the quality ceiling' but enough time has passed that I've calmed down a bit by now. A story for another time perhaps.
