Potential Weekly Poll Rework

With the advent of the "free" member tier of Patreon, I've asked myself the question, but I feel, as my patrons, you should have some input on this matter.

Seeing as ultimately it is you, my paid patrons, who would be affected by the following change, I want to have your opinion before I go through with it, should I decide to do so.

Currently, only paid patrons can vote in my polls, but I had the idea to remove this limitation, so that anyone can vote in the polls, but with a caveat.

The tiers for votes would be as follows:

Free Members' votes would count as 1

Townsfolk Tier Votes would count as 2

Investor Tier Votes would count as 4

Financier Tier Votes would count as 10

Effectively, each tier would grant you as much voting power as it costs. I believe this is currently possible with the way Patreon is handling non-paying members.

But before I do anything, of course, I will take your feedback into account, as you all are my supporters. So please do tell me what you think of this, and feel free to express your opinion in a comment if you wish.

It might potentially remain as just the Quest poll and possibly the Wednesday poll, the former because the Quests are posted off-Patreon exclusively and it's not a very participated poll, and the latter again because of relatively low participation. I, uh, kinda don't think I'm anywhere near popular enough for people to go through the effort of making a multitude of accounts to sway my polls.

Honestly, I could easily see polls being taken over by the free tier voters, especially if someone makes several accounts. Using the free tier to break ties and gauge interest makes sense to me, but other than that I don't see the point.

I think if a poll is open to the public then anyone who's registered on Patreon and a "free" tier member can vote on it. I can of course use the same method I use to calculate tier votes to simply set the vote multiplier to 0, but it does make it more difficult to gauge votes since you don't know how many votes in a poll don't count.
