I'm getting back in the groove of the old dance videos I used to like making, and this time I'm testing out all the features of raycast and additional techniques to making the picture look nicer. As you can probably tell, this video is prettier than all the previous videos I've made using raycast. With that though, there were too many issues than I can count. Rendering was the main problem. For a video that was supposed to take 3 days (not including the model edit, that's a whole nother story), the render was constantly giving me corruption and failure leading it to take a week just on rendering alone. It's a problem when it takes this long to render it. That aside, there are still a few issues with the video on a technical point - some things that I wanted did not show up on the final render even on the umpteenth time I rendered it. I probably need to upgrade my CPU to handle all these new effects I'm adding in sony vegas.
Let me know if this type of lighting is good for future videos.
