I plan to do a reaction to it which I'm going to film tomorrow and I'll have it unedited on here

Now that the movie is out, hopefully you will do a watch party with the whole movie.

The book is one of my favorite recent releases. The author describes it as an "escapist, trauma-soothing, alternate-but-realistic reality" to the shared traumas we've suffered since 2016. When the trailer initially came out, I was a bit taken aback because it's so breezy and light-hearted. Not that the book is heavy but there definitely are some ups and downs before Alex and Henry solidify as a couple. My biggest concern is which plot lines they jettisoned to make a feature-length film. Looking at the cast, it appears a few major characters are missing. Still, I intend to watch it tomorrow.

I'm so excited to watch this! I have started reading the book but I'm not that far along yet and I think I will stop and wait till I see the movie first and then continue on with the book. August will be an amazing month!!

I have not read the book, though I recently bought it. I still think Iโm going to watch the movie first for pretty much the same reason you mentioned. I know some people have said they were surprised that it was a movie rather than a series, which suggests some things are inevitably going to be left out of the movie that are in the book. But yes, it does look like a lot of fun, and Iโm looking forward to it.

Having read the book, I also recommend it!
Also agree that last month didn't feel that Pride-ish of a Pride month for me anyway, and think August will do more, with Heartstopper season 2, then Brighton Pride, then Red White and Royal Blue ๐
