Alcohol: Questions, Comments? Hangover cures?

Hey everyone,

I recently made a post on twitter asking what people do to avoid a hangover:


(link to tweet if you wanna see hangover strategies: https://bit.ly/2La1eG5 ). And I'm thinking I should have phrased as "What do you do to mitigate the negative effects of alcohol?" As "anti-hangover" would suggest you're going out with the intention to get quite drunk.

On that note, do any of y'all have such strategies? (You can answer here, but I'll make another post in poll form too)

This is something I've been interested in lately. While in DC I found the book "How to drink as much as you want and live longer" - an ambitious title that I doubt is accurate. I'm sure that if there's some key to living longer it probably doesn't contain alcohol. However, I would bet that with the proper strategies and diet, you could surely do much better than someone who doesn't drink but has an unhealthy lifestyle. (FYI the book is interesting but not nearly as in depth as I hoped)

What I was happy to see in that book was it addressing something I started thinking about when I learned that alcohol depletes glutathione: What if you just replaced all the stuff that alcohol depletes? Could this be a hangover cure or mitigate a fair amount of the damage that alcohol does?

The book basically recommends to stock up on the "lifeforce nutrients" (better known as just "nutrients") and minerals that alcohol depletes before drinking, along with taking this or that herb like milk thistle. What's interesting is that since I started loading up on salmon roe from about 2 months ago I feel way less prone to feeling like crap after drinking. Just my personal experience but loading up on nutrients seems to help.

Anyways, I plan on making a video on alcohol and will cover this concept. Any questions or comments you have on this topic?

I've always gone with, before going to sleep, drink as much water as I could hold down and take two Advil. It seriously blunts even the worst hangover.

Just in time. Please publish something about this before my 忘年会. And I am also interested in increasing glutathione. Should you just take supplements or perhaps there's any other way to increase glutathione in body? And also about hangover. I think some countries make hangover soup for easing out hangover, what's the actual mechanism? (If it is really works)
