News/Updates (Newsletter April 2020)

Hey guys! I'm sorry for the quiet in communication! I'm usually pretty good about that but.. as all of you know, times have been tough around the world, all of us are dealing with it in many ways and Sallyhot and I are no exception!  There's good news though!

So to start with, the good news is the virus has given Sallyhot and I so much more indoor time! And luckily I've talked him into a new work schedule that will up our productivity so much more! He has a lot more time on his hands, and he DOES want to work and give you guys some new art. In his words though, sometimes it's just so hard to get up and do work when you start to get used to being lazy! haha

Even so, I'm a nag. I always have been with him, and now I've set both of us on a nice work schedule that is already providing some results from the both of us. ;)

So I wanted to save this announcement for the right time, meaning when we actually got a new page to show ya'll, but since it's been 4 months since Sallyhot took on the job, I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you the news! Sallyhot has taken over PokeBuns! He worked on page 4 a bit, but he's now reworking pages 1-3 to keep things more consistent. We're going to release this comic in shorter issues. Meaning each issue of PokeBuns will consist of somewhere near 10 pages each. While this might seem overly ambitious for US  considering we're so insanely slow at releasing even ONE page, the virus problem has really provided Sallyhot huge motivation to get his butt in gear with the patreon and the comic! Because he's currently out of the job thanx to the virus, and we want this patreon to grow and thrive to support ourselves from here on out.

So while I don't like making promises, I will make this one because it requires discipline and determination on our part, and I don't intend to quit!!! Neither does Sallyhot. SO, expect to see more frequent updates on CoA and PokeBuns from me and Sallyhot, because we're gonna keep to this work schedule from now on, and that means you guys will be getting a bunch more content. ;)

Still! I was blown away by the fact Sallyhot wanted to take on PokeBuns. Aus-Army is still here and all, but he's been dealing with personal things and his own virus problems! He needed a break from things. Whether he'll post here anymore remains to be seen, but he's always welcome and everything he's done here has been.. absolutely incredible!

He(Aus-Army) and I got some plans of our own art wise that I can't share just yet, but stay tuned. ;)

My excitement truly is high. :) Sallyhot is back full time! and yeah! We got a lot of work to do and we can't wait to do it! So stay tuned and thanks so much for supporting us, especially through these ridiculous times. You guys will always be the most amazing folks to us!

SO! Today I will be working on Chronicles of Acorn and implementing the new sprites and fixing the ones for Sally that got destroyed with my hard drives. I'll be creating a new playable build for you guys to enjoy with new amazing battle sprites for not just Sally, but Bunnie too! Fiona's sheet will come soon, with a likely playable build featuring her AND her sprites sometime Summer this year. ;)

Sallyhot meanwhile is going to work more on the new Page 1 of Pokebuns today. I'll post again with the new build sometime today or tomorrow guys! So look out for it. And if you stuck around for the entire post, I applaud you. I can talk way too much! So tootles for now! Stay safe!
