Vampire 'cure'
Added 2020-07-12 07:51:28 +0000 UTCVincent was assigned to visit a grand duchess across the region. She was bit by what she assumed was a wild animal, only to find out that it was a nasty pest that contained a strain of a vampire virus.
The husband was non-complaint when Vincent mentioned the treatment for such a virus, and was asked to leave by morning. Well, later that night, Vincent didn't get a wink of sleep. He already knew what was about to happen.
As midnight arrived, the duchess snuck into the duke's room, under a delirious trance from her illness.
She thought she attacked Duke Vincent, only to discover that it was a pillow decoy. When she made that realization, a loud thud filled the room as Vincent held her down and tied her up with leather straps. "I knew you would succumb to your hunger. Are you aware that by drinking my blood will count as assassination?" He muttered with no fear.
He made sure her legs were tied together so she couldn't run or lunge at him. "If you were to drink human blood, you will lose your humanity and compassion. Do you really want to go down as a savage monster who attacked well versed nobles, or a well-mannered lady who was cured of such a little pest?" he said.
All the duchess could blurt out is "I can't control myself! Food no longer quenches this aching body. Please, there has to be a way!"
This made Vincent laugh, "I have a treatment that can ale such cravings and rid this burden."
"Anything-ANYTHING!" She yelled.
The smile on Vincent's face lingered ill intent as he said, "My dear, may you hold still?" He placed his hand on her head, keeping her from making too much movement. "This injection will only take a moment, it may sting at first, but you will feel great ease." He muttered as he pulled a wooden stake out of his pocket.
