Chapter 151: You Successfully Captured Me
Added 2024-09-01 17:02:38 +0000 UTCIt was a little past nine in the evening. After attending a party, Richard returned to his villa on the hillside. He turned on the lights in the yard, and the house was quiet, with the occasional meow from the cattery.
Richard smiled gently and reached out to pet the cats. The purring of the two kittens grew louder.
Returning to the living room, he changed into shorts and, with a glass of wine, headed to the backyard.
“What have you been up to?”
A voice suddenly came from under the sunshade.
Click~
The backyard lights all turned on, illuminating the clear swimming pool, the lush green belts and lawn, the pristine marble floor, and the four tall ornamental light poles around the yard, emitting sunlight-like brightness that made the distant city of lights seem dim.
On the recliner under the sunshade lay a sexy woman wearing a swimsuit with a blanket draped over her. Her long, sexy legs shone charmingly in the light.
“Wow, darling, why are you here? Why didn’t you call ahead?”
Richard laughed heartily, walked over, and hugged her, sitting together on the recliner.
“Don’t change the subject. Tell me, what were you up to? Coming back so late, smelling of alcohol and women’s perfume.”
Ms. Bündchen poked his nose with her finger and asked.
“Went on a date with women, lots of women, all big stars.”
Richard smiled, lowering his head to kiss her neck.
“Stop it, you scoundrel, explain first!”
Ms. Bündchen pushed his chin, preventing him from nibbling.
“Alright, alright. It was a celebration party hosted by Miramax Films to celebrate ‘Shakespeare in Love’ breaking one hundred million at the box office. Many big stars, directors, and producers were there. I went with Norman and Anthony to join the fun and also discuss some work. Done explaining, can we get intimate now?”
Richard, holding her, began to nibble again.
“Wait, go wash up first. You stink.”
Ms. Bündchen pinched her nose, looking disgusted.
“Haha, now you’re disgusted by me?”
Richard slapped her butt and stood up with her in his arms.
“Let’s wash together~”
“No!”
Splash~, they both fell into the pool, splashing water everywhere. It took more than half an hour for the pool to calm down.
Richard carried Ms. Bündchen out of the pool and they lay back on the recliner, covered with a blanket, gazing at the moon and the distant Los Angeles, whispering.
“Darling, you still haven’t said why you suddenly came? On the phone this morning, you said you were busy.”
Richard stroked her wet hair, drying it with a towel.
“Mm-hmm~”
Ms. Bündchen leaned softly on his shoulder, humming lazily, “You said you missed me. I couldn’t stand it. When you miss me, I miss you more, so I couldn’t help but come.”
“What time did you arrive? Why didn’t you call?”
“A little after five. I thought you were busy, so I didn’t want to disturb you. Haha, wasn’t I considerate?”
Ms. Bündchen turned, her chest pressing against his, smiling.
“Very considerate. After five, no matter how busy I was, I’d be off work. How could I not have time to pick you up?”
Richard hummed, lifting her chin,
“Dear Ms. Bündchen, do you often imagine your boyfriend, me, indulging in debauchery when you’re not around, with several women sleeping over every night? Maybe the villa is full of women?”
“I don’t think that. I trust you and know you wouldn’t mess around.”
Ms. Bündchen shook his neck and said.
“Really?”
Richard raised an eyebrow and smiled, “Should we check the bedroom and bathroom? I bet you’ve inspected every corner with a magnifying glass.”
“Nonsense, I’m not that petty!”
Ms. Bündchen punched his chest, turning her head aside, her ears a bit warm.
“Haha, alright, it doesn’t matter even if you did. After all, your boyfriend is so handsome and outstanding; it’s normal for you to worry.”
Richard kissed her cheek.
“I’m not worried. I just miss you. When I lived alone, going to work, eating, sleeping, it felt fine. But after we started living together, I got used to your presence and liked having you, this lazy guy, around.
When you’re not here, the house feels empty, and my heart feels missing a piece. When I turn over in bed and find you’re not there, it feels terrible.”
Ms. Bündchen whispered in his arms.
Richard stroked her shoulder and back, “I miss you too. Such a big villa, just me living here, it’s very lonely. Darling, why don’t you stay in Los Angeles with me for now? When I’m done with work, we can go back to New York together, so we don’t have to travel back and forth.”
“I’ve thought about it too, but most of my work is in New York, so it’s not possible now.” Ms. Bündchen shook her head.
“You can take less work in New York. The fashion scene in Los Angeles is very active too.”
“No, the fashion and entertainment circles in Los Angeles overlap heavily. The fashion trends are led by actors and stars, and we can’t compete with them.”
“Alright, then we’ll have to be in a long-distance relationship for now.”
Richard shrugged.
“Darling, do you blame me for being too career-oriented?”
Ms. Bündchen propped herself up on his chest and asked.
“A little, but your most charming qualities are your strength, independence, and determination. You’re always full of energy. I love that about you and can understand and accept it.”
Richard smiled gently.
“Really?”
Ms. Bündchen raised her eyebrows, blinking her long lashes, her freckles adorably scattered.
“Yes! Besides your strength and independence, there’s your chest, your long legs, your hot body, your beautiful face, your hair, your cooking, your fists, your passion, your pettiness, so many things. In short, there’s nothing uncharming about you, Ms. Bündchen. You successfully captured me.”
Richard tapped her nose.
“Haha, darling, you captured me too!”
Ms. Bündchen curved her lips, falling into his arms.
Richard held her gently, swaying slightly, looking at the moon in the sky, feeling very calm inside. The cold reception and frustration at the party slowly dissipated. This felt great.
Ring~ Suddenly, Ms. Bündchen’s phone rang. She lazily reached out from under the blanket to grab it.
“Angela, what’s up?”
“Bündchen, where are you? Why aren’t you back so late?”
“Ah, sorry, I forgot to tell you. I came to Los Angeles. It was a last-minute decision, came in a hurry and didn’t tell you. You’ll sleep alone tonight.”
Ms. Bündchen said apologetically.
“Haha, did you go catch someone cheating? Did you catch any dogs in the act?”
Angela laughed.
“No, stop it. Richard didn’t mess around.”
Ms. Bündchen glanced at him, motioning with her finger for him not to interject.
“Really? I heard boxers have high hormone levels. With so many women around Richard, he can resist not messing around? I don’t believe it.”
Angela said.
“Hey, Angela, now I understand why Bündchen often imagines things. It’s you always talking bad about me.”
Richard couldn’t stand it, grabbing the phone and saying.
“Haha, Richard, don’t think too much. I didn’t talk bad about you. Alright, I won’t disturb you two lovebirds. I’m going to sleep.”
Click~ Angela hung up directly.
Richard put down the phone unhappily. He hugged Ms. Bündchen, staring into her eyes,
“You just said sleeping alone at night, turning over and no one to hold, and now Angela calls you back to sleep? So you were lying to me?!”
“Haha, no. She wants to mooch a meal, so sometimes she comes to sleep over, in the guest room.”
Ms. Bündchen explained with a smile.
“Really?”
Richard tightly held her waist, slapping her butt, “Be honest, are you two lesbians?”
“Nonsense, we’re normal.”
“You better be. I don’t want to be cuckolded by a woman.”
“Shut up, you scoundrel! If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll tear your mouth apart.”
Ms. Bündchen pinched his lips.
“Okay, okay, I won’t say it. Let’s continue!”
“Ah, what are you doing? Didn’t we just finish?”
“No, it’s never enough with you!”
Richard pulled up the blanket and carried Ms. Bündchen upstairs.
After fooling around all day, Ms. Bündchen left Los Angeles again the next afternoon.
There was still a lot of work in New York. For a career woman, not working for a day felt like wasting life.
Richard felt the same about boxing training. A day without training felt empty. But for acting and other work, it was just a means of survival, lacking the basic passion.
He then understood why he couldn’t become a good actor: he lacked the passion and the willingness to dedicate time, energy, and sacrifices for acting.
After Ms. Bündchen left, he trained and worked out every day, went to the company for acting classes, and when ‘X-Men’ had tasks, he went to the set. Occasionally, he practiced acting with Gwyneth.
By mid-April, "One Kiss" was about to be released, and Richard joined the crew to start promoting the film.
"Hey, Richard, long time no see!"
"Long time no see, Drew!"
Richard smiled lightly, greeted the crew members, and boarded the plane with them.
