*Chapter 207: Tsunade, You’ve Grown Stronger*
Added 2024-09-14 15:16:19 +0000 UTC"Wood Style! Wood Dragon Jutsu!"
Tobirama Senju tried every means he could to stop Kaido, but his efforts seemed weak against Kaido.
At this moment, a loud roar echoed, causing Tobirama's eyelids to twitch.
He saw a sturdy wood dragon rise from the ground, charging directly at Kaido. However, the dragon’s force was lacking, and Kaido swung his club, meeting it head-on.
The next moment!
The wood dragon shattered like fragile paper in front of Kaido.
"Hmm? What was that?"
Kaido was momentarily stunned. He hadn’t even clearly seen what was in front of him before instinctively swinging his club. And whatever it was, it crumbled too easily, breaking into pieces with just a light touch.
Kaido looked down at the ground, where a shattered wood dragon lay at his feet.
"Brother, has your power been suppressed to this extent?" Tobirama asked with some frustration, holding his forehead.
This was exactly the situation he had feared!
His own power had been heavily suppressed, and there was no need to even mention his brother, Hashirama Senju. Even when he used the Edo Tensei technique back then, he hadn’t summoned Hashirama at his full strength.
Danzo, that troublesome man, had only brought their brother back to embarrass them.
"Hahaha! There’s nothing I can do; I can’t even use the Wood Golem or unleash Sage Mode," Hashirama laughed awkwardly. "I told you, studying forbidden jutsu doesn’t get you anywhere. You should focus on family matters instead of spending all your time on research."
"Look at what you've developed—can it break through Uchiha's Susano’o? Not to mention Madara’s! You haven’t been doing any real work in Konoha."
Hashirama tried to assert his authority as the elder brother, wagging his finger at Tobirama.
Tobirama had created all these forbidden techniques, but what use were they now?
Instead of dabbling in all that, he should have focused on perfecting his Water Style, especially since being underwater would keep him safe from Madara’s Fire Style attacks.
Hashirama knew very well that Madara had always harbored resentment toward Tobirama, and had he ever gotten the chance, Tobirama would have been in for a brutal beating.
Even now, with things as dire as they were, Tobirama hadn’t bothered to fully hone his Water Style.
"Shut up, brother! Now’s not the time for that!" Tobirama shot Hashirama a stern look. This was no time for such nonsense.
"Hahaha, is this your big brother?" Kaido chuckled as he looked at Hashirama. Tobirama had been hyping him up, and Kaido had been prepared to be on guard. But this was just embarrassing.
Kaido hadn’t even put in much effort, yet he easily shattered the man's technique.
Tobirama sighed, rubbing his forehead. At this moment, he truly had no defense against Kaido’s mockery. Even Tobirama hadn’t expected his brother to mess up like this.
"Kaido, what did you say about my great-grandfather?" A furious roar came from the sky, followed by the swaying of large “lanterns” descending from above.
A foot crashed down from the air with immense force.
Kaido's eyes sparkled as he swung his club to meet the attack.
Boom!
A terrifying shockwave spread out in all directions as lightning crackled between the two combatants.
At that moment, every eye on the battlefield was drawn to the clash between the two figures.
“Tsunade?”
Jiraiya whispered to himself. He hadn’t expected Tsunade to appear. Though he didn’t know where her allegiance lay, her willingness to stand here meant she couldn’t bear to see Konoha destroyed by Kaido.
With Tsunade back, it was a relief for Jiraiya. Now Konoha could be entrusted to her, and he wouldn't have to take matters into his own hands.
Likewise, Hashirama, Tobirama, and Uzumaki Mito all watched the figure in the sky trading blows with Kaido. Time had passed, but Tsunade didn’t seem to have changed much. Thanks to Mito’s sealing jutsu, it appeared Tsunade hadn’t been troubled by any burdens.
“Is this Tsunade? I had no idea she possessed such power,” Hashirama exclaimed, his mouth agape in shock. He knew their Senju family’s monstrous strength was powerful, but the display of force he was witnessing had surpassed that.
"Look closely, brother. Tsunade isn’t just using raw strength—there’s something else in her power. She's grown much stronger,” Tobirama said, crossing his arms as he evaluated her. Though he couldn’t fully understand the nature of Tsunade’s current power, his critique was clear: it was crude. Only a brute would use power like that. Was Tsunade turning into another Hashirama?
“Boom!”
The rippling shockwaves between Tsunade and Kaido finally subsided as Tsunade gracefully landed on the ground.
Her face was marked with sage-like patterns, resembling Hashirama in Sage Mode. This was Sage Mode from the Shikkotsu Forest. After arriving here, Tsunade had gone to the Shikkotsu Forest and mastered the technique, aided by the powers of the Forest Forest Fruit.
Bang!
Two more figures appeared behind Tsunade—Sengoku and Fujitora—both glaring at Kaido.
Though Kaido’s reasons for joining the war were unclear, it was certain that pirates never acted without ulterior motives. They were here to ensure Kaido and his crew felt discomfort. After all, they were the Navy, and now that they had also received benefits from the Shikkotsu Forest, they were strong enough to challenge the pirates.
“Hahaha! Sengoku, I didn’t expect to see you here. I thought you were all dead. But do you really think just the few of you can stop me now?” Kaido sneered, looking at Tsunade and Fujitora disdainfully.
At this moment, a cold voice interrupted, “Did you forget about me, Kaido?”
Aokiji stood to the side, touching a tree. Cold air spread from his hand, and in an instant, the entire forest was frozen into an icy wasteland. Ninjas from both Konoha and the Cloud Village were frozen in place.
Even Kaido was turned to ice for a brief moment before cracks rapidly formed, and the ice shattered into pieces.
“Admiral Kuzan!” Kaido growled, his expression cold. Facing three Admirals and a Warlord of the Sea, he realized how persistent the Navy was. Why couldn’t they just die far away from him?
“Tsunade, do you still think we can’t defeat you?” Tsunade’s voice was cold, and the earth beneath her feet sprouted with life, her chakra causing plants to grow rapidly.
"A bunch of annoying pests,” Kaido muttered, swinging his club as he glanced at the Raikage, “Raikage! I won’t be able to help you much longer, but I’ll hold these guys off. Just don’t forget your promise to me."
"Don’t worry, Lord Kaido! Our reinforcements are coming soon," Ay replied, nodding. He wouldn’t backstab Kaido now; it was better for them to fight together.
Tsunade’s expression became complicated as she looked at Ay, realizing that he had become the leader of the Hidden Waterfall Village.
“Little Tsuna!” Hashirama waved enthusiastically at Tsunade, with Mito beside him, also smiling.
"Grandpa! Grandma Mito!" Tsunade quickly greeted them.
Tobirama, meanwhile, had appeared beside Tsunade, examining her attire, which looked nothing like a ninja uniform. He had already begun to piece things together.
"It seems you've joined a new organization, Tsunade," Tobirama said flatly.
"Second Grandpa, Konoha has changed. That's why I left. The Uchiha were a big part of that," Tsunade replied, her voice filled with frustration.
"I can see that. I had wanted you to return to become Hokage, but it seems you’ve found your own path," Tobirama acknowledged. "With your mastery of Shikkotsu Forest’s Sage Mode, your future will be remarkable, perhaps even surpassing my brother’s."
"There’s no point in going back to Konoha. Do what you want now," Tobirama added with a nod, acknowledging her independence.
"But Tsunade, what's with this immense vitality in you?" he asked, curiosity filling his voice.
Hashirama Senju noticed that Tsunade's vitality was unusually abundant.
It was even stronger than his, as if just standing on the ground made her invincible.
"Explaining this is really complicated! I'll explain when I get the chance in the future."
Tsunade looked at Hashirama helplessly.
"."
Hashirama frowned, frustrated. If she didn’t want to say it, she just didn’t want to say it. What "when there's a chance later"?
When would there be another chance?
This Edo Tensei was likely a one-time thing.
Who knows when the next time would be!
Tsunade had unexpectedly learned to play tricks now.
They didn’t press further and instead started asking about Tsunade's current situation.
Did she get married? Did she have a partner? How many kids does she have now?
Jiraiya stood silently, looking in Tsunade's direction. He had intended to approach her, but it seemed she hadn’t even noticed him. In fact, she hadn't looked at him once since arriving.
Tsunade has changed a lot!
He wondered who those people with Tsunade were. Is one of them her new boyfriend?
Or maybe, she still had feelings for the Uchiha clan, unable to let go.
While Jiraiya was lost in thought, behind Ay, thousands of ninjas had already gathered.
Their strength varied greatly, making them look like cannon fodder.
Jiraiya's side had a lot of ninjas frozen due to Kuzan's Ice Age technique. There were still some reinforcements, but their numbers were limited.
"Thunder Corps! Prepare!"
Ay waved his hand!
The ninjas behind him immediately took out a bottle of water and started drinking.
Jiraiya could feel the chakra of this group in front of him swelling rapidly.
They started with the chakra levels of Chunin, or even Genin.
But after drinking the water, their chakra increased by at least tenfold, and some even more. The thousand ninjas behind Ay now each had chakra levels that surpassed that of Jonin.
"Since the Takikage has given us such a good stage, we can't waste it!"
"Now, charge! Wipe out all the Leaf ninjas!"
A bloodthirsty smile appeared on Ay’s face, and his Lightning Release Armor flared up.
In the next moment, Ay led the charge directly at Jiraiya.
The thousands of Jonin followed, and although their coordination wasn’t great, the sheer power they generated was overwhelming.
Jiraiya’s forces were already outnumbered.
Clashing with this group was like marching to their deaths.
"I’ll go help!"
Hashirama noticed the situation and immediately frowned, planning to help Jiraiya alleviate some of the pressure.
