*Chapter 135: Don’t Mess with Martha (Part 3)*

Clark “Kind-heart” Kent has lived for 33 years without ever losing his temper. He was well-raised and taught to control his anger with great effort.

He has encountered many horrible people and nearly every time he held back because if someone else exploded, it didn’t hurt him a bit. But if he exploded, it could be deadly.

Interestingly, Mr. Superman and Mr. Batman have the same taboo — a common name but different surnames. Both of their mothers are named Martha.

When a Kryptonian elite soldier went to Superman’s parents' house, ransacking it in an attempt to find the so-called Kryptonian Codex and intending to torture Superman’s elderly mother, that was truly the last straw.

Superman felt his mind explode in an instant. A fury that came from the depths of his soul made him spring forward like a cannonball. With a lightning-fast tackle, he grabbed the guy and took him away.

Under the terrifying impact, the two of them formed the world’s most frightening and efficient bulldozer. Just by scraping their bodies along the ground, they plowed a terrifying cone-shaped surface three meters deep and over ten meters wide in the farm field.

Superman pinned the elite soldier's neck down, raised his massive right fist, and began raining blows on the guy’s face, all while continuing to push him at high speed away from his mother’s small wooden house.

In the blink of an eye, they had flown a kilometer away, crashing into a giant chimney that was over a dozen stories tall, splitting an oil-loaded train car in two and creating a massive mushroom cloud. They continued until they crashed into the town, finally coming to a stop.

What followed was a beast-like close-quarters brawl, with the dust they kicked up in their fierce battle leaving the main street of the town in utter chaos.

The few citizens present fled in panic, their screams and cries echoing throughout the town.

And this was just the battle on this side of town.

On the other side, near Martha Kent’s house, General Zod’s second-in-command, Faora-Ul, hesitated for a second. Should she go help her comrade beat up this rebellious Kryptonian traitor, Kal-El (Superman)? Or should she continue interrogating his adoptive mother?

The next second, she realized she didn’t need to make a choice.

Two strange, high-speed flying metal men were charging toward her, attacking without a word.

“Pew! Pew! Pew!” Compared to the "soft and weak" live ammunition of human soldiers, Faora had to admit that the lasers from these two “iron men” were somewhat damaging. She had to whirl her arms like a windmill to deflect the incoming energy beams.

This sight frightened James Rhodes, who immediately shouted over the comms, “Tony, this female-looking thing is immune to our weapons.”

Tony Stark gritted his teeth, “Let’s try attacking from two sides.”

With that, Iron Man and War Machine, working in perfect sync, flanked her from both sides.

The idea was great, but reality was harsh.

Seeing things were going against her, Faora crouched down in a starting position, and with a single leap, she shot out like a spring.

“Boom!” The ground beneath her feet shattered into hundreds of pieces.

The next instant, she was in front of James, a hundred meters up in the air.

“Fxck!” James’s survival instincts, honed through numerous battles, saved him. At the last moment, he instinctively twisted his body.

In the end, he paid the price of having the entire right side of War Machine’s armor ripped apart.

Undoubtedly, War Machine was severely damaged. Inside his helmet, the display screen was filled with a barrage of red warning signs and error messages, causing James to panic a bit.

“Don’t worry! She can’t fly!” Iron Man flew in, following Faora's falling trajectory, and started firing wildly.

Unexpectedly, flying seemed to be embedded in the DNA of Kryptonians. Faora tilted her head slightly, as if she’d discovered the secret to flight.

Despite being a bit off-balance, she still wobbled into the air, speeding toward Iron Man.

“No way—” This time, it was Tony's turn to yell.

Not only were Tony and James feeling this way, but Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow, who had also arrived at the scene and were facing another Kryptonian soldier, shared the same sentiment.

Relatively speaking, that Kryptonian soldier was an ordinary one, but his strength, agility, and speed still surpassed Captain America.

“Wham—” A punch came flying, and the immense force rippled through Captain America’s vibranium shield.

The shield was fine, but Cap wasn’t.

Unable to withstand the impact, Captain America was sent flying five or six meters backward, flipping in mid-air before barely managing to steady himself.

During this time, if it hadn’t been for the enemy arrogantly catching one of Hawkeye’s explosive arrows and getting dazed by the explosion, Cap might have been pursued and beaten up further.

If Captain America couldn’t injure that guy, Black Widow stood no chance.

Fully aware of the disparity in strength, Black Widow only dared to use the Quinjet’s cannons to cover her two teammates.

But…

That Kryptonian soldier also took off on the spot. In the blink of an eye, he was outside the Quinjet's cockpit.

Seeing the terrifying fist about to smash down, even the battle-hardened Black Widow couldn’t help but close her eyes. Strapped into the pilot’s seat with her seatbelt on, she had no place to run.

She did hear a loud bang, but it wasn’t the glass of the Quinjet’s cockpit shattering. Instead, it was the enemy’s cry of pain.

Opening her eyes, Black Widow was stunned: “Kratos?!”

A bald head, a bare chest, a standard red lightning tattoo, and two golden, oddly-shaped short blades.

Wasn’t this the great hero Kratos, who had shined so brightly during the Battle of New York?

Black Widow was a bit dazed.

He’s everywhere.

Still, it was good to have him around!

As a teammate, few were as reliable as him. He always seemed to show up at the right place at the right time, standing against enemies no ordinary person could dream of fighting.

The Kryptonian soldier who had just beaten Captain America black and blue was now being lifted high. The golden short blade piercing through his chest was the best weapon in the whole scene.

“Damn it! You’re the one who attacked our mothership!?” On the other side, the furious Faora-Ul lunged forward.

Sensing the danger, Black Widow instinctively pulled back on the controls, making the large Quinjet retreat like a ghost.

Faora lunged, intending to grab the bald man and the small aircraft behind him all at once. In her mind, with her abilities, she would be unbeatable among the small Earthlings. However, she hadn’t expected the jet to retreat so quickly, nor had she expected the bald man to dare face her head-on.

The two clashed mid-air without any fancy moves.

“Boom!”

A visible shockwave rippled out, followed by a deafening sonic boom.

Faora-Ul was shocked to find that this Earthling she had looked down upon possessed strength not inferior to hers.
