*Chapter 146: The Future Lady Thor (3rd Update)*

Kryptonian spaceship materials are, of course, invaluable.

Material science is the most tedious field, requiring a large team to conduct endless experiments with various material combinations, often without results. Perhaps out of a million attempts, none will yield a useful alloy combination, but there’s always a chance the very first try hits the jackpot.

If we could reverse-engineer the materials from a ready-made spaceship and find the corresponding raw materials, humanity’s space technology would leap forward.

But am I, Batman, only interested in spaceship materials?

Star maps, interstellar route charts, Kryptonian computers, fire control systems—what in that treasure trove isn’t desirable?

Unfilial child! Damn ungrateful kid!

That Kryptonian girl by your side—you think I don’t see her?

Compared to other organizations or individuals, Wayne Enterprises’ greatest advantage might just be its extensive collection of Kryptonian texts and translation materials.

Bruce Wayne, feeling youthful once more, made a rare appearance at a nightclub, earning himself the title of *“Veteran of the Nightlife.”*

Soon after, he spotted Atreus’s entourage—a queen, a warrior woman, Helena, Catwoman, a Kryptonian deputy, and the Canary sisters. He suddenly felt that the common women around him were no longer appealing. Was the universe conspiring to rob him of his destined soulmates?

Atreus didn’t pay much attention to his father. As long as Batman wasn’t mad at him, everything was fine.

At that moment, he was welcoming some special guests to his mansion on the island.

In the helicopter, Jane Foster kept having to pry her assistant Darcy Lewis’ fingers off her. After all, they were also accompanied by intern Ian. From the moment they took off, Darcy, who was both an assistant and a close friend, hadn’t stopped chattering.

When the helicopter passed over a large portion of the private island and landed on the helipad of a massive estate, spanning over 30 acres, Darcy’s mouth went off like a machine gun.

"Hey, Jane, didn’t you say you were over that big lug? You even went on a blind date with some wooden engineer! Today, seize the chance and find true love. Atreus Wayne is the top of the bachelor food chain!”

Jane shot her a sharp look. “Please, I’m much older than him. Besides, we’re here for work.”

"Work? Our little studio is about to go under. Why do you think he’s sponsoring us? It’s clearly because of you!"

Jane rolled her eyes and was about to retort when Darcy pulled down her collar and peeked. “Oh my god! You’re not even wearing your lucky undergarments.”

“You little brat! Say one more word, and I’ll rip your mouth off,” Jane mock-scolded, but no one took the playful tone seriously.

Just then, a Rolls-Royce pulled up in front of them. A man dressed like a bodyguard stepped out and opened the door. Out came a blonde bombshell wearing a black business suit—an obvious case of someone hired more for her looks than her secretarial skills.

Despite her efforts to appear professional, little details, like the way she swayed her hips or instinctively walked like a model, gave away her original line of work.

As the woman approached, Darcy whispered to Jane, “Don’t worry; at least you’ve got the better face.”

“Shut up,” Jane muttered, giving Darcy a quick kick before forcing a smile and stepping forward.

"Hello, Ms. Jane Foster. I’m Dinah Lance, Mr. Atreus Wayne’s personal secretary. I’ll be escorting you to meet him." Dinah’s radiant smile made it hard for the three to harbor any ill feelings.

"Hello, Ms. Lance. I’m Jane, and this is my assistant Darcy, and our intern Ian."

"Please, this way."

The luxurious Rolls-Royce left the three of them in awe, as they were further blown away by the lavish lifestyle of this mysterious—and well-established—billionaire.

Entering the mansion, they passed through an invisible sound barrier; the outside world’s noise suddenly quieted.

Then, they encountered another Ms. Lance.

"Greetings, guests. I’m Sarah Lance, the housekeeper here, and Dinah’s sister. I’ll be leading you from here."

This time, Darcy remained silent, quietly assessing them: the Lance sisters were both classic American beauties, voluptuous and tall. While Jane had the prettier face, the sisters had the "sibling charm." Jane, you’ve got stiff competition!

Darcy’s confidence in Jane held firm—until they met the maid, who looked like an actual goddess.

“Would you care for something to drink?” The maid’s melodious voice, paired with her ethereal beauty and graceful movements, made her seem more like a queen moonlighting as a maid.

It was absurd! Even Jane and Darcy were momentarily stunned.

"Are you really a maid?" Darcy couldn’t help but ask.

"Yes, I’m Mr. Atreus Wayne’s personal maid," she replied in lightly accented English.

“May I have the honor of knowing your name?” Ian asked, as if in a trance, his eyes dazed.

Darcy angrily stomped on his foot, snapping him out of his daze.

At that moment, the maid seemed startled and softly said, "Sorry, I can’t," before hurriedly running off.

Darcy, ignoring Ian's awkwardness, turned to Jane. “Jane, give up.”

Jane: “…”

Just then, Atreus finally entered the room, immediately noticing Helen’s discomfort. He smiled slightly. Perhaps he had pushed her too far.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Atreus Wayne, soon to be your sponsor.”

Such a domineering introduction nearly choked Jane. Nonetheless, she composed herself, introduced her team, and said, “No offense, Mr. Wayne, but we haven’t decided to accept your sponsorship. In fact, after much thought, I can’t see what we have that would interest you, and I worry that it might cause you trouble.”

“Trouble? Like this?” Atreus pressed a button, and a 300-inch screen descended, showing the day’s news.

The footage showed police arresting a naked old man, his body censored for decency’s sake.

The three immediately cradled their heads in embarrassment—it was Jane’s colleague, Dr. Erik Selvig, causing the public disturbance.

Atreus casually turned off the screen and smiled. “Let me be direct. I’m not interested in your professional expertise or Ms. Foster’s beauty. What I value is something extraordinary within you, Ms. Foster.”
