*Chapter 151: The Worried Goddess Frigga*

Just before the alarm sounded, Frigga, the Queen of Asgard, was speaking seriously with Thor in her room.

Though Thor appeared burly and tough, exuding an aura of brutish strength, he immediately became as obedient as a "mama's boy" when approached by his mother.

"Mother, is something wrong?"

"While examining Miss Foster, we found this." Frigga projected a video, though in Asgard, it was referred to as a sacred projection.

"What is this?" Thor, not particularly skilled with magic, was utterly clueless.

"A space beacon. And this thing carries the aura of the Greek gods."

Thor squinted, a rare display of focus, and stared at the enlarged golden hairpin as if he'd suddenly gained insight: "Wait a second! Does it say, 'Twist left and right in case of emergency' in English?"

Frigga wanted to scold her son for his obliviousness—why couldn’t that just be a disguised message? Fool! Do you realize what this means? The woman you're so attached to could very well be a spy sent by the Greek pantheon, or someone with ill intentions toward you.

However, out of respect for her son, Frigga spoke tactfully: "Though this could be part of a conspiracy, I don’t think it poses a threat to Asgard. Asgard’s space coordinates have always been public, and outsiders can’t pass through unnoticed by Heimdall, nor breach the palace's spatial barriers."

"Why worry so much? I’ll just ask Jane directly." Thor’s simple-mindedness took over, and he walked away confidently in front of his mother.

Frigga was furious, thinking: Silly child, women have a hundred ways to deceive you!

Unexpectedly, Thor returned soon after, holding the golden hairpin in his hand.

"Mother, I told you Jane is fine—this was given to her by her research sponsor. He’s a human named Atreus Wayne, who sponsors many superheroes. Do you know who this thing can summon in an emergency? Kratos and Wonder Woman! I fought alongside that guy in New York. They're incredibly powerful warriors."

"You know him?"

"We’ve never talked, but fighting is a man's language! We fought the Chitauri together. If I weren’t limited to emergencies, I’d have Jane summon him right now."

"…"

"Mother, don’t overthink it. Bringing Jane to Asgard was a spontaneous decision. Even I didn’t know what I’d do next, so how could the enemy?"

Well then!

Was there really no hidden agenda?

Frigga's mind raced with countless thoughts, but in the end, she chose to trust her son. Thor might lack the political acumen and strategic cunning required of a king, but he definitely possessed the demeanor of a leader.

A strong individual always attracts similar followers, as evidenced by the Warriors Three standing by Thor’s side.

Frigga smiled: "It seems I’ve been overthinking. It’s fine, Thor. I trust your judgment."

With that, Frigga gave orders: if any Greek gods appeared in Asgard, guards were not to attack but treat them courteously and report immediately.

After all, the size of the portal opened by such a small space beacon was determined by the location’s circumstances. With Asgard’s spatial barriers in place, only one person could likely get through at a time.

Frigga was confident that Asgard’s power could handle whoever might come.

With that, Frigga graciously joined Thor to check on Jane Foster.

Honestly, Frigga wasn’t thrilled about Jane as a potential daughter-in-law. She preferred Sif. Unfortunately, after a thousand years, her hammer-wielding son still treated Sif like a brother.

Considering how many scoundrels secretly indulged in romance with men, Frigga was more than a little anxious.

Thor was as stubborn as they came, and since he’d found a woman he liked, Frigga decided to observe for a while.

Just as the two women were engaging in small talk, a shrill alarm echoed across the realm.

"prison!"

"Go, fulfill your duty. I’ll look after things here," Frigga assured Thor, implying that she would protect Jane in his absence.

Thor nodded, grabbed his beloved hammer, Mjolnir, and flew off.

Simultaneously, Odin swiftly ordered his generals to guard the armory and other key locations.

Seeing Frigga escort Jane Foster outside, Odin calmly remarked, "It’s nothing—just a small disturbance."

A small disturbance?

Jane felt her right eyelid twitch uncontrollably.

At that moment, Sif, clad in full battle armor and leading a team of elite soldiers, passed by.

Sif immediately locked eyes on Jane, who stood in a grand Asgardian gown next to Frigga.

Sensing the weight of destiny’s gaze, Jane instinctively looked toward the fierce goddess.

The two had met briefly during Thor's first visit to Earth, at least as friends.

Yet now, Sif showed no sign of greeting Jane, not even a nod.

Their positions had shifted.

Once, in Sif’s eyes, Jane Foster was merely a short-lived human with no more than a hundred years of life. Even ordinary Asgardians lived for 5,000 years, let alone those who ascended to godhood.

But Thor had clearly fallen for Jane, though his straightforward nature prevented him from realizing it. By entrusting his girlfriend to his most trusted mother, it was evident how much Thor cared for Jane.

And so, a thousand-year-old Asgardian woman and a human woman nearing middle age exchanged a fiery, silent stare in the air.

Frigga, standing beside them, could only sigh.

She comforted herself: there was plenty of time to resolve this.

As Odin spoke, a new alarm blared from the Bifrost Bridge!

Heimdall, one of Asgard’s strongest gods, couldn’t stop this enemy. Whoever it was, they posed a serious threat.

Even Odin felt a string of tension pull at his heart.

As one of the most formidable warrior races in the Nine Realms, Asgardians prided themselves on their combat readiness.

Almost the instant Heimdall raised the alarm, the golden-armored guards raced to the weapon racks, seizing their sacred arms.

Above Asgard, dense anti-aircraft fire illuminated the sky.

Golden cannons unleashed a barrage of enormous energy blasts at the invaders.

The intruder revealed its true form: a massive black spaceship with a cross-like structure. Any Asgardian of a certain age would recognize it—the attackers were none other than the Dark Elves, a race supposedly wiped out by the Asgardians long ago.
