*Chapter 153: A Slayer (Second Update)*

This is too outrageous!

A wall at least half a meter thick, as solid as steel, melted away like thin paper touched by a hot iron, without a sound.

A humanoid figure, resembling a lava monster, rushed forward at an unimaginable speed, grabbing Frigga’s wrist at the last moment.

As an Aesir, a true goddess, Frigga possessed strength and agility far surpassing that of any human, but her pride in these abilities was useless against this terrifying cursed warrior.

Facing the enormous hand, Frigga quickly chanted several spells.

Yet, every spell that struck the cursed warrior, who drew his power from burning his own soul and life, was as meaningless as soap bubbles, bursting upon impact.

A ridiculously large hand, seemingly made of scalding lava, gripped Frigga’s neck tightly!

"Ugh—"

Miss Jane was completely panicked.

When her greatest protector, Queen Frigga, was captured, what could she do?

As a woman with the qualities of a superhero, Jane Foster was never the type to scream helplessly or collapse in fear when faced with danger.

Though she didn’t possess the strength to fight against such a formidable opponent, that didn’t mean she could do nothing.

She had already secretly removed the golden hairpin, twisting it according to the plan. Then, at the moment Frigga protected Jane with an illusion, Malekith signaled the cursed warrior to finish off Frigga…

A miracle happened!

It was a decisive strike!

Even Atreus didn't know that his hastily opened portal would lead to this messed-up location.

In any ordinary setting, as long as there was an accurate spatial coordinate, Atreus could clearly sense the position of the portal opening.

But this was Asgard, and even with its protective array broken, various powerful divine artifacts and passive divine power protection systems interfered with Atreus’s senses.

He barely found a spot to land, only to witness the cursed warrior about to stab the queen in the back!

If the giant armored figure had been holding anything other than a sword, Atreus might have thought of something like The Queen's Downfall.

But…

You dare strike such a ruthless blow against an elderly woman like her?

What a corrupt world, where morals have crumbled!

Golden light burst from the divine sword Achilles in Atreus’s hand, like a solitary flame held tightly.

He moved faster than the cursed warrior, stabbing forward from the shortest distance. Due to the portal's angle, the portal—barely wider than a basin—opened directly behind the cursed warrior’s rear.

The result was Atreus's sword pierced through the warrior’s backside and into his waist, shifting what would have been a fatal stab to Frigga slightly to the left, landing in her left shoulder blade instead.

The cursed warrior’s strength was terrifying. Even though the strike landed in a relatively tougher part of the goddess's body, the sheer power behind it caused Frigga’s left shoulder to explode, blood-soaked bone fragments and flesh splattering everywhere.

"No—" As if by destiny, Thor arrived just in time.

The terrifying lightning from Mjolnir shattered Malekith’s magical shield, scorching the right side of his face.

Seeing the situation turn hopeless, the cursed warrior Algrim abandoned his fight with Thor and Atreus, grabbed Malekith, and leapt from the balcony outside the side hall.

An enraged Thor hurled Mjolnir, trying to chase them down.

Unfortunately, he failed.

The enemy retreated with precision, jumping onto an invisible Dark Elf aircraft and, in the blink of an eye, disappearing back into the cross-shaped mothership in the sky.

Seeing the enemies retreat like a tide, Thor rushed to his mother’s side, shouting, "Mother! Mother! Are you alright?"

"Cough Not dead yet," Frigga replied, coughing up blood. She glanced at the bald man standing quietly, Kratos, and then at Jane Foster, who still clutched the golden hairpin tightly. Before losing consciousness, she grabbed her son’s arm: "Don’t neglect our guests!"

Thor turned to Atreus, forcing a stiff smile: "Of course not, Kratos and I are already battle comrades."

At that moment, Odin arrived with a large group of Asgardian guards, finally realizing what had happened.

The scene before him made Odin breathe a sigh of relief, but after ensuring the safety of the queen, he rudely ordered, "Detain Miss Foster and Mr. Kratos separately."

Thor immediately exploded, feeling both furious and confused. He roared, "Father! Kratos saved Mother."

Odin, with his single eye that seemed capable of seeing both past and future, stared intently at Atreus. The overwhelming godly power, like the pouring of the seven seas, nearly crushed Atreus to his knees.

Without a word!

Atreus stood with his arms crossed, stubbornly staring back at Odin, completely unafraid!

"I know he saved Frigga, but I’m not about to trust an Olympian in full leather armor so easily! Even if he saved my wife!"

Although Atreus was almost overwhelmed by the god-king’s terrifying presence, and his teeth were trembling, he still refused to bow: "I’m not interested in saving the wife of an arrogant old man from Asgard! I’m here to ensure that the Aether doesn’t fall into the hands of that scumbag!"

It was a direct confrontation!

No fear whatsoever!

Not the slightest respect for a true god-king!

Atreus’s attitude surprisingly made Thor feel a bit relieved.

No! In fact, even Odin looked at Atreus with newfound respect: "I will not apologize! Asgard is in a state of emergency. Take him to rest, make sure he doesn’t leave, but give him anything he asks for."

Atreus admitted to himself that, if he were in Odin’s position, he would have done the same.

A stranger appearing at such a critical moment, with the timing being too coincidental, would naturally warrant suspicion. Treating him like a prisoner until his innocence was proven wasn’t wrong.

As for any offense, it could be compensated later.

Odin made his decision, leaving Thor to give Atreus a bitter smile.

Atreus nodded to Thor and left confidently.

At that moment, Asgard was in utter chaos, with the god-king and his son both overwhelmed.

No one had the time to pay attention to Atreus.

But Atreus wasn’t upset. Even though he knew there were two dozen guards outside his sealed guest room, including a captain with strength comparable to a Greek demigod, he leisurely began to enjoy Asgardian wine.

Just then, the door opened.

A heroic woman in armor strode in: "Greetings! Mr. Kratos, I am Sif!"

"Oh? The goddess of the earth and harvest?" Atreus's lips curled slightly.

Sif was surprised: "Are you referring to the Norse myth of me on Earth?"

"Yes."

Sif shrugged: "I suppose I have that 'godly role' because I partied too hard during a harvest festival once."

"That story… is quite amusing."

"And what about you, Kratos? What kind of figure are you in Greek mythology?"

"A slayer."
