Chapter 175: The Same Move Cannot Be Used Twice

"Wait a second! Is this female robot really that powerful?" Hawkeye, piloting a Quinjet nearby, was somewhat stunned.

As an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hawkeye had access to a range of files with lower confidentiality levels. He had read about the robot sisters who appeared during the Empire State Building incident.

However, according to the records, the combat capabilities of this duo, whose true humanoid nature was still unknown, did not seem so exaggerated.

She seemed to have flown just now, but strangely, she emerged from an abandoned building. It was unclear whether it was truly flying or some sort of exaggerated leap due to body mechanics.

Her next movements, however, made it clear to those unaware that she was not a Kryptonian.

There was none of that straightforward, soaring, and tunneling action typical of Kryptonians. Instead, her attacks were more like martial arts moves.

This perfectly aligned with the robot sisters' characterization—just that the power of their punches and kicks was immensely stronger.

“Bang!” With a flying kick, she made Doomsday stagger on the spot.

Mind you, just moments ago, a barrage of air-to-ground missiles from a fleet of Quinjets, combined with Iron Man’s attacks, hadn’t even scratched it.

In any case, the more superheroes fighting against this monstrous threat, the better.

In the sky, as he piloted the jet further away from the main battleground, Hawkeye sighed helplessly and spoke to Nick, “Boss, this doesn’t seem like an enemy we can handle.”

Nick wasn’t discouraged: “Ladies and gentlemen, think about what we can do.”

Black Widow suddenly had an idea: “Didn’t the news say that LexCorp developed a weapon against Kryptonians? If this is also a creature from Krypton, it might just work.”

At that moment, Agent Hill suddenly cut into the communication: “Senator Finch says he wants to expose Lex Luthor. he claims he knows where that Kryptonian weapon is.”

Nick immediately commanded, “Alright, Hawkeye, Black Widow, you two handle this.”

“Understood!”

Meanwhile, the battle in the ruins on the other side of Gotham City had reached a fever pitch.

Doomsday had gone completely berserk.

It unleashed an incredibly violent punch.

A punch far beyond the pinnacle of Earth’s superhumans.

There was no specially rendered visual effect; the punch represented pure, ultimate violence.

As Superman dived in, the force of Doomsday's punch shattered a 40-story building—each floor at least a thousand square meters—in an instant.

Countless bricks, steel bars, and stones broke into fragments no bigger than a human thumb, as if it hadn’t shattered a building but unleashed a massive wave.

Superman couldn’t break through this destructive wild storm and was blasted away by the extreme force.

The shockwave rippling over several square kilometers made everyone realize—why it was named "Doomsday."

Forget a small town with only a few thousand people; the power to effortlessly blow up a skyscraper in one punch might take only a few minutes to level Gotham City!

As Superman was sent flying, Faora was caught in the blast and was thrown away.

Only Atreus, crouching behind the shield-bearing Wonder Woman, narrowly avoided the hit.

But in the next round, the giant beast charged toward Wonder Woman.

Before the two could react, a millstone-sized fist was already upon them.

The circular divine shield dutifully radiated divine power, attempting to resist this absolute violence with the strength of a god. The golden shield emitted a bright, dazzling light.

After about a second of stalemate, the golden glow shattered entirely following a violent tremor. The terrifying shockwave, akin to a small tactical nuclear explosion, transmitted through the shield and struck Wonder Woman.

She bent her body to the extreme.

Though her demigod body could withstand it, the ground beneath her exploded like fireworks.

Having lost her foothold, she was immediately sent flying like a mortar shell.

Atreus didn’t bother with Wonder Woman, who had crashed heavily in the distance.

He knew she would withstand it. Taking advantage of the opportunity she had created with great difficulty, Atreus crouched and lunged, slashing at Doomsday's abdomen with his blade.

"Ha—!"

A bald-headed figure, like a god of thunder descending to earth, surrounded by lightning, let out an earth-shattering roar as he charged at his enemy with unyielding determination, as if he had seen a long-lost nemesis.

This scene was truly heart-stirring.

No one knew why he was fighting so desperately!

It didn't look like he was participating in the siege of the monster. Rather, it seemed he was a monster himself, fighting for one last chance to survive.

A deafening roar that seemed to tear apart the night exploded from the golden short blade.

A mass of lightning burst out from Doomsday’s abdomen. The tightly focused arcs of electricity twisted violently, like an oxyacetylene torch cutting through metal, erupting in a blazing platinum-colored substance at the point of contact between blade and skin.

This was the combined power of lightning and lava!

In fact, in just a tenth of a second of this clash, with a sweep of the blade, a large chunk of flesh from Doomsday's abdomen turned to ash.

“Did it work!?” More than one person shouted in delight.

No!

It worked—but it also failed!

The wound seemed massive—large enough to fit Ang's entire body in. You could even see blood continuously splattering from the writhing internal organs within the abdominal cavity.

But Atreus knew it was far from enough.

The greatest characteristic of Doomsday is that the same move cannot be used on it twice.

If you can't kill it in one strike, and you try the same move again, it will develop a terrifying resistance beyond human imagination.

It practically becomes immune to that kind of damage.

Atreus knew its weakness, of course. However, having gathered power from so many formidable enemies, Atreus at least wanted to see if he could truly defeat or at least severely injure this super monster whose absolute power surpassed even Superman.

After missing his strike, Atreus swiftly sidestepped, making two rapid 90-degree turns without slowing down.

As expected, in the next instant, a massive, door-like hand swept by, missing Atreus back by less than five centimeters.

Even through his suit, Atreus could clearly feel the power contained in the immense gust.

“No! Don’t go head-to-head!” Atreus shouted a warning to his teammates as he dodged out of Doomsday’s attack range.

The next second, Faora, who had rushed in, suffered a blow. She was grazed on the shoulder by Doomsday, sending her flying like a cannonball, smashing through two buildings.

During this, Wonder Woman again lunged into the fray. This time, Doomsday slammed a fist hard into the ground.

“Boom—”

It was too much!

Sure, this was a ruin, but the problem was that it used to be a dock area, with solid concrete lining the entire coastline.

When this monster's fist came down, the ground cracked with a boom.

The crack, initially a meter wide, quickly expanded frighteningly, stretching all the way to the sea.

Then, a massive amount of seawater began to rush in through the widening fissures.

From a distance, it looked like this large dock area, created by land reclamation, was entirely sinking...

“No! We can’t let it stay on Earth!” Superman and Director Nick Fury came to the same conclusion almost simultaneously.
