Chapter 8: The Three Body Techniques

Back home, Natsuwari looked at the three scrolls of the Three Body Techniques on the table and a chakra paper he had bought along the way.

He first picked up the chakra paper and infused his chakra into it. Soon, the paper split in half, and the part Natsuwari was holding became wrinkled.

"Wind and lightning?" Natsuwari nodded upon seeing this, not particularly surprised. His father, whom he had never met, seemed to have wind-natured chakra, and Sana had previously said that her nature was lightning.

So Natsuwari had successfully inherited the dual nature of his parents, which was quite good. He just couldn't remember what Kekkei Genkai could be formed by wind and lightning. There didn't seem to be any. But even if there were, he didn't plan to try it.

After all, no matter how he thought about it, trying to fuse a Kekkei Genkai was no different from courting death. If it were that easy to fuse, Kekkei Genkai wouldn't be so rare in this world.

In Natsuwari's view, existing Kekkei Genkai were either the result of reckless experimentation or mutation. As for himself, unless he was given a bloodline like Naruto's, with a medical ninja like Tsunade constantly watching over him, and a body as strong as Might Guy's, he wouldn't dare to try such a thing.

But if he could gather all those conditions, what would he need a Kekkei Genkai for? He could just brute force his way through!

As for wind and lightning, it wasn't bad. He was now qualified to learn both Rasenshuriken and Chidori. However, Rasenshuriken required a sufficient amount of chakra and Sage Mode to complement it, while Chidori needed sufficient dynamic vision.

Otherwise, one would harm the user as much as the enemy, and the other would be a straight shot that couldn't hit anyone.

Although Sage Mode was in his plans, he definitely wouldn't have the opportunity to learn it now, so he would pass on that for now. As for dynamic vision, it basically relied on innate talent and bloodline, such as the Sharingan and Byakugan.

But not to mention that Natsuwari didn't intend to transplant someone else's eyes, even transplanting the Sharingan would probably drain his chakra, making it difficult to progress further, which was unacceptable. The Byakugan was more feasible, but not to mention whether he could obtain it, even if he could, he didn't want it.

Natsuwari thought for a moment. If Sage Mode and Chidori were combined, could it avoid this drawback? Sage Mode should be an all-around enhancement, perhaps including dynamic vision. He could try it later if he had the chance.

Next was learning the Three Body Techniques. Natsuwari looked at the scrolls.

The Three Body Techniques weren't complicated, and Natsuwari quickly finished reading them along with Iruka's notes.

The Three Body Techniques consisted of the Clone Technique, Transformation Technique, and Substitution Technique, all simple and practical basic ninjutsu.

The Transformation Technique required only one hand seal, the Clone Technique required three, and the Substitution Technique required five. The difficulty also increased with the number of hand seals.

The learning process was as Natsuwari expected. Hand seals were just a guide to better direct the changes in chakra. The most important aspect of releasing ninjutsu was still the manipulation of chakra.

Each ninjutsu had its own unique chakra manipulation, so simply knowing the hand seals wouldn't allow one to use the corresponding ninjutsu.

Therefore, conversely, if one could master the manipulation of chakra, could they activate ninjutsu without hand seals? Like those ninjutsu later on that were released by simply clapping hands together...

As for the Three Body Techniques, Natsuwari's plan was to learn them all, but the priority for mastering them would be different. The Transformation Technique only needed to be proficient enough for practical use. If there was time, he could also practice the Clone Technique more. But Natsuwari planned to focus on learning the Substitution Technique.

After all, this was a simple yet very practical ninjutsu. However, with five hand seals, it would take Natsuwari almost two seconds at his current level, which might not be fast enough against speed-type ninjas, so he had to reduce the casting time of the Substitution Technique to within one second.

Next came the time to try using them. Natsuwari controlled the flow of chakra according to the description in the scroll while forming a hand seal. An image also appeared in his mind.

"Transformation Jutsu!"

A puff of white smoke rose, and when it settled, a petite but graceful woman appeared. Then, Natsuwari looked at the reflection of 'Tifa' in the mirror, his face suddenly reddening, and he released the Transformation Jutsu.

Natsuwari didn't expect to succeed on the first try. And, he suddenly felt that maybe he could practice the Transformation Jutsu more, ahem.

Natsuwari looked around and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw no one. That was enough for the Transformation Jutsu. He just needed to use it a few more times to get familiar with it, as it only had one hand seal and couldn't be simplified further.

Then, various figures appeared in Natsuwari's room one after another. Although they were all small, they became increasingly refined.

Asuna, Mikoto Misaka, Akame...

Time passed quickly. By the time Sana came back, Natsuwari was already able to use the Clone Technique and Substitution Technique. Somehow, it seemed much simpler than he had imagined.

Unlike the Transformation Jutsu with one hand seal, Natsuwari wasn't very proficient in using the Clone Technique and Substitution Technique. His chakra manipulation couldn't keep up with his original hand seal speed.

But this wasn't a problem. He just needed to practice more.

At this moment, Natsuwari realized that his talent might be much stronger than he had previously imagined. Even if the Three Body Techniques were simple, being able to learn and successfully use them on the first try was enough to prove his talent.

"So, am I still a genius?"

"Mom, welcome back." Hearing the door opening and Sana's voice, Natsuwari came out of his room to greet her in the living room.

"Ta-da!" Sana showed off a scroll as soon as she saw Natsuwari. "Little Natsuwari, look what this is!"

"Shadow Clone Jutsu." Natsuwari said calmly.

"Well, it is the Shadow Clone Jutsu, but shouldn't you be happier, little Natsuwari?" Sana felt a little disappointed by Natsuwari's reaction.

"Yes, I am very happy." Natsuwari said with a smile.

"Sigh, here you go, my little adult." Sana handed the scroll to Natsuwari and said, "I went to see my teacher, and he also said that the Shadow Clone isn't suitable for you."

"Yes, but I think it's very suitable for me." Natsuwari took the scroll with some excitement.

"I knew you wouldn't listen, so I exchanged for it anyway. But it's good that it's the Shadow Clone. If it were any other B-rank ninjutsu, it might not have been possible to exchange for it." Sana said.

"Why?" Natsuwari became interested.

"My teacher said that although the Shadow Clone Jutsu was developed by Konoha, it was actually stolen a long time ago, and other villages also have similar ninjutsu, so there's basically no need for secrecy. Other ninjutsu are still very precious and generally not allowed to be exchanged by people like us who might leak them." Sana replied.

Natsuwari nodded. That made sense. But in any case, he had obtained the Shadow Clone Jutsu, and now he had a learning goal for the future.

"By the way, Mom, I won't be eating at home tonight." Natsuwari remembered that he had invited Iruka to dinner and that he would be wandering around the village after eating, so he would probably come back late.

"Huh? Why? Does little Natsuwari already dislike mom's cooking?" Sana pretended to be sad and even wiped away nonexistent tears.

"Of course not." Natsuwari explained to Sana what he had discussed with Iruka-sensei.
