Chapter 265: Forced to Submit
Added 2024-09-25 01:34:57 +0000 UTCIf Uchiha Madara had succeeded back then, perhaps there wouldn't have been any wars in the Shinobi world. At most, there might have been internal conflicts, but they wouldn’t have lasted long.
Sometimes, Tobirama Senju would wonder what would have happened if he had supported Madara’s plan back then.
But!
Tobirama realized he could never support Madara. Every time he saw the Uchiha clan with their arrogant demeanor, he couldn’t help but reach for his Flying Thunder God kunai.
So many years had passed, and Tobirama wondered if the Uchiha's chests were still as soft as before!
Of course!
What Tobirama meant was that he wondered how easily he could stab his kunai into the chests of the Uchiha.
Back then, he had seriously injured Uchiha Izuna!
Since then, Tobirama hadn't used his kunai to kill any other Uchiha.
His kunai was almost rusting from lack of use!
“This might backfire!” Kakashi frowned as he spoke. He wasn’t opposed to violence, but he wanted to end things quickly and move on.
If they could quickly resolve the situation in the West Sea, he could return to Dressrosa and enjoy peaceful days with his wife and children. It was the kind of life he had never dared to dream of before, and now it was all he wanted.
“What if you break everyone’s spirit so much that they have no will to resist?”
“Kakashi, you’re still too young. The Konoha of your time is too weak. Back when Konoha was first founded, we had Uchiha Madara and my brother.
“Either of them alone could destroy an entire nation. Back then, there were no wars in the Shinobi world at all!”
Tobirama looked at Kakashi as he spoke. Konoha was too weak now, so Kakashi lacked the confidence that comes with overwhelming power.
Even though Kakashi now had dual Haki and the top-tier power of the Goro Goro no Mi, he still tried to use strategies and tactics to force his opponents to submit.
But!
In Tobirama’s eyes, if you had absolute power, there was no need for any schemes or tricks.
Back then, Konoha had been so strong because they had real strength backing them up.
“Sorry, Lord Tobirama. I apologize for Konoha being so weak,” Kakashi said, expressionless.
What could Kakashi do about Konoha being weak? He wasn’t the Hokage.
He hadn’t experienced those golden days of power.
“These guys are so arrogant!” Nico Robin muttered to herself as she glanced at Tobirama.
Facing powerful pirates from the New World, they still believed they could crush their opponents with sheer force.
For a moment, Nico Robin didn’t know how to describe these people.
Meanwhile, a giant had been standing in the ocean for half a minute.
After that statement, the people of the Land of Flowers knelt down as if worshipping a god, praying desperately to Uchiha Raijin to spare their lives.
Under such overwhelming power, they didn’t even dare to think about resisting.
The ones who had tried to fight back earlier were already wiped out by the terrifying waves.
If Uchiha Raijin struck again, the entire Land of Flowers would probably be submerged.
“Aren’t you going to kneel?” Raijin asked, looking at a group of people who were still standing.
This group consisted of the Eight Treasures Water Army, led by Chinjao and Sai.
They stood tall at the harbor, eyes burning with determination as they stared at Raijin.
They refused to kneel!
Even though their power had declined, they still had their pride.
“Uchiha Raijin, I was once a great pirate on the seas!” Chinjao shouted.
“I’ve met many strong opponents along the way, but none have ever humiliated others like you.”
“Kneeling is out of the question. However, we’re willing to join Dressrosa as an affiliated force.”
Chinjao’s face turned purple with anger, but there was still a hint of dignity in his voice.
No matter what, he had been a well-known figure.
If they truly surrendered like this, the Eight Treasures Water Army would never be able to hold their heads high again.
But at least, as an affiliate of Dressrosa, they could maintain some honor.
“I only need dogs!” Raijin said coldly, staring at Chinjao.
“You’ve gone too far!” Chinjao’s veins bulged with fury, his face dark with rage.
He couldn’t believe Raijin would say something like that.
The Eight Treasures Water Army wasn’t about to beg for mercy on their knees.
“Then die!”
Raijin’s Susanoo moved, and a massive fist came crashing down from the sky.
The terrifying pressure made it impossible for anyone to lift their heads.
All they could see was a giant shadow on the ground, looming closer and closer, as if the entire Land of Flowers would be swallowed up.
They didn’t even have time to try to dissuade the Eight Treasures Water Army.
They could only lie on the ground and wait for death.
Boom!
But after a moment, the terrifying fist didn’t land.
Instead, there was a rumbling sound in the air.
Boom!
A figure shot down like a cannonball, crashing into the island with immense force.
A huge crater appeared, and lying at the bottom was a rotund figure.
“Old man!” Sai screamed in anguish, raising his sword as he prepared to charge at Raijin.
Just a moment ago, Chinjao had rushed to block Raijin’s attack, but he had been sent flying in an instant.
It was clear that Chinjao couldn’t even hold off Raijin, who now seemed like a god in their eyes.
Bang!
Both Sai and Boo leapt up, weapons in hand, and charged toward the giant.
“Trash!”
Raijin didn’t even spare them a second glance. He kicked them both away with ease.
Bang!
Bang!
The massive figure continued walking toward the island, step by step.
He stopped in front of Chinjao’s fallen body.
A cruel smile tugged at the corner of Raijin’s mouth.
Boom!
His giant foot came crashing down.
The entire island trembled.
It felt like an earthquake to everyone around.
But Raijin didn’t stop there.
He intended to crush Chinjao to death.
“The Land of Flowers has been invaded by Dressrosa! Please, Navy, help us!”
In the palace of the Land of Flowers, a terrified old man clutched a Den Den Mushi in the corner, trembling.
This man was the king of the Land of Flowers—Ramen!
Though his name was odd, he was a shrewd man.
He held real power in the Land of Flowers, and even the Eight Treasures Water Army followed his orders.
But when Uchiha Raijin descended upon the Land of Flowers, it felt like the end of the world to him.
If Chinjao couldn’t stop this monster, the Land of Flowers' only hope was their status as a member of the World Government.
“Dressrosa? Dressrosa is invading your land?” the Navy officer asked.
“No, not Dressrosa's forces. It’s their king, Uchiha Raijin himself, who’s invading us!” Ramen hurriedly explained.
“...Please hold on, I’ll report this immediately!”
The operator on the other end of the line paused for a moment before speaking.
The officer beside him nodded, and he immediately understood.
The powerful force in the New World was beyond what the West Blue could handle.
Their West Blue Navy didn't have that kind of strength yet.
He walked into the adjacent room, picked up a Den Den Mushi, and dialed the Navy Headquarters.
"Moshi Moshi! This is the West Blue Navy, Branch 320!!"
"This is Sengoku speaking."
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, a member nation of the World Government has been invaded by the King of Dressrosa. They are requesting Navy support, asking for backup from the headquarters."
"A member nation? King Uchiha Raijin of Dressrosa?"
Sengoku's eyes widened in surprise!
He had just returned to the Navy and was already hearing this kind of news.
If Uchiha Raijin was personally taking action, it probably meant he was planning to wipe out the entire Flower Kingdom.
"That's right! The King of the Flower Kingdom said their nation is on the brink of destruction."
"This matter isn't your concern! The Navy currently doesn't have the manpower to send to the West Blue. Don't they still have the Eight Treasures Navy and Two Treasures Navy under their command? Let them figure it out!"
"Oh! I understand."
The operator hung up the Den Den Mushi, looking a little confused.
Why was the Navy Headquarters treating the Flower Kingdom like this?
It seemed that as soon as the name "Dressrosa" was mentioned, the idea of sending reinforcements vanished.
But he returned to the Den Den Mushi connected to the Flower Kingdom.
"Apologies, Your Majesty, but the Navy is currently unable to send any forces to the West Blue! They are occupied with other missions, and the nearby branches also don't have the extra manpower. Please hold on for a few days; once we gather enough personnel, we will send reinforcements immediately!"
Without waiting for a response, the operator hung up the Den Den Mushi.
"Huh? We've been idle in this branch for quite some time. Why is there no time to mobilize troops?"
The officer in front of him put out his cigar, frowning.
"Something’s clearly off!"
"This was a direct order from Fleet Admiral Sengoku for us to stay out of this!" The operator was equally puzzled.
"Then forget it!"
"Damn it! Damn it! The Navy, just like the papers said, are in bed with Dressrosa! These people are really in cahoots with them!"
"Why? Why does Dressrosa receive such special treatment? You bastards are intentionally trying to wipe out the Flower Kingdom!"
The King of the Flower Kingdom, Lamen, yelled into the Den Den Mushi.
He wanted his anger to reach the Navy, but it was obvious he wouldn't succeed.
"No! There’s still one person in the Navy who opposes Dressrosa—Admiral Borsalino!"
"I've heard that Admiral Borsalino frequently opposes Dressrosa's actions and even publicly called Dressrosa a scourge on the world! If it's him, there's no problem."
The King of the Flower Kingdom, Lamen, found hope once more!
As a member nation of the World Government, and once a rising power, he could still reach Admiral Borsalino.
Lamen dialed his Den Den Mushi, and before a second had passed, the line connected.
“Waaah!”
The sound of a baby crying came from the other end, which startled the King.
“Who is this?”
Borsalino picked up the Den Den Mushi, looking a little annoyed while trying to rock a cradle and soothe the child back to sleep.
But with the sudden phone call, it didn’t seem like the baby would be dozing off anytime soon.
Instantly!
Borsalino’s irritation flared up.
"Admiral Borsalino, I’m the King of the Flower Kingdom, Lamen! The King of Dressrosa is invading our country."
But before Lamen could finish speaking, Borsalino cut him off.
"What does your country’s invasion have to do with me? Go report it to the Navy!"
"The Navy said they don't have any available forces!"
"Well, tough luck. They're a World Government member, and so are you. There's nothing I can do. Figure out how to save yourselves and stop calling me."
Borsalino hung up immediately, his expression unchanged.
Borsalino had already reconciled with Dressrosa and saw no reason to oppose Uchiha Raijin anymore.
Besides!
Since he began caring for this little one...
Borsalino suddenly considered resigning as an Admiral.
To be honest!
Dressrosa had treated him and others well.
Anything they needed was provided promptly.
Borsalino even thought that his son would do well staying there, learning Dressrosa’s ninjutsu techniques.
"Damn it! I’ve been tricked! I’ve been tricked!"
Lamen threw the Den Den Mushi to the ground, yelling at the ceiling.
He could still feel the earth shaking beneath his feet.
Who knew how long Chinjao could hold out?
"Surrender! Surrender might be the only way to save the Flower Kingdom!"
Lamen smiled bitterly and staggered out of the palace.
It seemed surrender was the only option left for the Flower Kingdom.
But as he stepped outside and took in the scene...
He saw a massive giant stomping repeatedly on a deep crater.
Inside that crater was the Flower Kingdom’s strongest warrior, Chinjao.
Lamen had thought the commotion outside was Chinjao battling the King of Dressrosa.
But it turned out...
Chinjao had already lost!
"King Uchiha Raijin, the Flower Kingdom surrenders and is willing to become..."
Lamen shouted in the middle of the street, kneeling before Raijin.
"Boom!"
A giant foot came down, giving Lamen no chance to react.
"So, you were the King of the Flower Kingdom? You made me wait so long!"
With one stomp, Raijin crushed him into a pulp. The Susanoo surrounding him dissipated.
There was no need for him to act anymore. He could leave the rest to Kakashi and the others.
Not bad. It was only ten in the morning, still early!
Let’s give him a break.
At least he hadn’t missed any updates this month—pretty impressive!
Hahahahahahahaha!
