RE-UP VIDEO: WWE Raw June 2nd, 2014 (The Break-Up of The Shield: Part IV)

As a 20 year old now, I grew up on 2014 WWE and now I'm realising how bad it actually was lmfaooo.

FurySpeedruns

I know it was a decade ago but there’s a lot of stuff on this show that I completely forgot and blocked out of my mind AND I WAS THERE

Noah Fortner

Was in the building for this I was 13 years old and god damn pal was I heartbroken pissed and full of rage 🤣🤣

I'm starting to think that, based on the fact that he continuously lost viewers with a literal monopoly, Vince McMahon doesn't "book well when driven into a corner," he books against his own wants and desires, which translates to a better product. People REALLY quickly forget how awful it gets when there's no competition.

1:11:00 I really wish that it were true that lebron james had just gone to the Miami heat and that’s why wwe referenced that. Unfortunately he made that move back in 2010 😂😂😂. And as far as the “local sports team” trope being used as nauseum in wwe, it’s one of the things that helped Vince go from regional to nationwide. Showing up to a new territory and going “oh those Atlanta braves suck, but you know who doesn’t suck? The NEW YORK YANKEES” helped give fans a reason to hate the bad guys from up north.

I love your l;ooking back on older episodes. I was watching the CWC tournament...would you ever consider revisiting that? I would love to hear your thoughts on that tournament. At least you'll be watching good matches LOL

Steven Mazzaferro

To me, Seth's betrayal will always live in Roman's head, even if he was able to set it aside for the Shield Reunions, man would logically be keeping a constant eye on him. Trauma doesn't just go away, even if 2010s WWE was terrible at long term storytelling.

Hasan Mahmood

Hahaha that last sentence you said sums it all

Kevin Fleuriot

pfffft sounds like you weren't there

Mageside

That is common commentary that Vince always had his commentators use and it just grew old and tired by the time the shield came out... goodness sake, the company really felt like a dirty old man having his grandchildren perform in front of them around the 2010s

Mageside

eh that was a lack luster episode i kinda wish they did more than just review a raw episode, i know it's important but eh

Bdazzle

I would 100% listen to an ongoing series that compared WCW 2000 to TNA's worst year and WWE's worst year.

Benjamin Howard

Honestly the first episode of this arc that has hit flat, really felt like the handwave and the turn should have just been gone over at the start of a PPV with more meat to it. It's just 2 relevant angles with a lot off Triple H was kind of a twat and John Cena was also rubbish. On a more positive note I would be behind Luke's WCW 2000 review series.

Lucy

Did Triple H kick Luke’s dog when he was a child or insult someone in his family? Damn.

Benjamin Howard

I have some Lawler bad commentary from the following episode during the Shield promo. Shield music hits, Lawler says "but where are they ?" as if they haven't been coming through the crowd for a year and a half at this point. Then he says "Well it's 3 on 2" when they face 3MB, as if the Shield didn't beat 11 guys by themselves a few weeks prior.

Kevin Fleuriot

I didn't know y'all posted on Dailymotion too

Hector Rodriguez

Thank you! Much better
