The deadbeat dad showing up at your birthday next year doesn't erase him no-showing the year before, no matter HOW many guests he brings. The same match could have happened with the same beats with Cody defending the belt after a year-long reign where Roman had pulled out all the stops to tear him down. Glad Pete can bounce back, though, even after that mediocre year!
