2023-12-12 06:23:38 +0000 UTCThere was quite a bit of discussion about Marcus here. In my opinion Marcus was gas-lighting Simon. Simon was trying to break it off and Marcus wasn't listening to him. Marcus isn't a bad guy but he is pretty full of himself and was only thinking about what he wanted and not about Simon's needs. The thing is, that is really what Wille is doing too. At the end of season one Simon tells Wille (when Simon breaks up with him), "You always expect everything to be on your terms." And Wille's upbringing sort of makes him think that way automatically. It takes this whole season for Wille to realize his family has warped him in ways he never realized. And if he is ever going to be happy, he is going to have to find his own path.
