Bonus - Lealla, The Aberrant Princess

This is a backstory illustration for my character, Parasite Warlock/Circle of Mutation Druid, Lealla Agasthi, from my home campaign Arcana Logia

Lealla Agasthi is the youngest among the five adopted children of the Agasthi House. Her weak constitution forced her to spend most of her life in bed and she has to rely on Claire and Nissa who have been taking care of her even before they got adopted by the Agasthi House.
During the final phase of 'The Inheritance Project' where the five children receive an artificial divine 'gift' created by their mother, Professor Jaida Agasthi, something wrong happened during Lealla procedure. Eventhough the procedure make Lealla healtier and stronger than before, the power seems to overwhelmed her body. For the next 4 year, she has to hide alone inside Agasthi manor, struggling to control her ever evolving body and uncontrolable power, while all of her siblings and mother left to do their respective 'mission'.
She doesn't resent her mother, since she know she did this for a greater good, and without this 'gift', she won't live this long. So she wait year after year, never stepping out from the empty manor, trying every method to learn to control her power by herself. All she have to accompany her is the memory she has with her siblings in that house and a wish that someday her family to come home and live together again, and for her to be able to see and experience the outside world with them.

A bonus courtesy of XP Pen, who sent me an XP-Pen Artist 13 (2nd Gen) to test and review. So this artwork is made with that display tablet instead of my usual Wacom Cintiq 22 Venus.

I would say that this is a pretty good pen display, especially for beginner to intermediate and those who have less budget to spend. The build is very compact and light compared to other display tablets I've tried. The 1 cable connection makes it easier to set up compared to some that require a separate power cable (it has either a 3-in-1 cable, but it'll take up 1 USB slot for connectivity, 1 USB slot for power, and 1 HDMI slot, or you can use just 1 USB C, I use my own USB C cable since it wasn't included in the box). I will probably use this when I travel, although I have to get a tablet stand to prop it up since it doesn't come with one.

As for the drawing experience, It's also quite good. It doesn't really affect my process and quality, except for the fact that it's a tad bit too small for me, so it takes a bit more time to finish this artwork. It has 9 customizable buttons; I haven't played too much with that since I primarily use my Tartarus keypad, but probably gonna be useful when I travel since that keypad is just too big to carry around. The pen is also very light, and I prefer and am used to something with a bit more weight. But overall, the sensitivity is comparable to other higher-priced display tablets, with minimal parallax error, good color accuracy, and quite easy to set up.

I can't say much about the durability since that will require time and constant use. Despite its lightweight build, it feels decently sturdy, but I don't know how it'll compare to other brands, especially Wacom, which in my experience, is just built like a tank. I would still recommend this for beginner and intermediate artists for its decent quality, compact build for those with small workspaces, and it's quite cheap. But if you have more budget, I would suggest picking the bigger version. I'd say 16" is an ideal size for me.

Your character's art makes for a perfect cursed princess, which is parallel to the story you wrote. nail on the head for getting the feel spot on.

a wise choice. Im curious, what kind of mutations does she routinely use?

Dallas

thank you~ :D I love the content in that book. another alternative that I wanted to play was Parasite Warlock + Fractured Barbarian, but when I realized you can become Kaiju with Circle of Mutation, I end up choosing that instead XD

holy hell, im IN LOVE with this character design. As somebody who day 1 backed Grim Hollow, im extremely impressed on your take of the material given. Bravissimo!

Dallas

yeah i looked at that and couldn't find the circle of mutation but ill double check instead.

It's The Parasite Warlock and Circle of Mutation Druid. Both of them are from Grim Hollow: Players Guide by Ghostfire Gaming. (Highly recommended if you want dark and horror-themed subclasses like those two)

Sinlaire

otherwise the arts stunning and such a great character design

dont mean to sound like a prized prick here but im pretty sure its Parasite for warlock and Mutation is a Domain rather than circle i tried googling it and can only find the Domain Rather than Circle. even in that player guide. if people have found otherwise send me the link cause i cant find it lol.
