Despite her enormous serpent-like body, Edea is a type of Fey creature called a Hag. According to folklore that has been passed down in the southern part of Cernunnos Forest where she resides, she was once one of the Primordial Elves, an ancient race of elves said to be the first group to arrive from the Fey Realm. However, forbidden magic corrupted her nature, altering her form and turning her into a serpent-like monstrosity. In return, she gained a mysterious magical power capable of altering reality and is said to be able to change someone's past.
Edea has two sisters, each with magic related to their obsessions. Cordelia is obsessed with the future, progress, and prophecy, while Loretta is obsessed with the present. Edea, on the other hand, is obsessed with the past, memories, and stagnation. She uses a lantern that emits pale yellow cold light in her magic. People can come to her to ask for a favor, using their memory and past as payment. However, they must journey to her dangerous swamp, as her sisters have magically confined her there for the last 600 years due to her strange magic.

As I mentioned, I'm trying to finish last year's Trial of Ink. In addition, I 'tried' to make a statblock for the creature~!
I went a bit overboard with the extra illustration on the stat page there, probably only every now and then >___<
the files will be added to the Trial of Ink folder in the Vault post later.

What a unique hag idea, yet so fitting to what a hag is and does in fairy tales. I find it interesting that her stat-block doesn't necessarily give her the ability to alter the past for real, only the immediate surroundings and ones perception of the past. which leaves it up in the air of what she is truly capable of to those who seek her out.
