Shoal Shield

This shield is forged from mithral and enchanted coral, harvested from the vibrant reefs of the Oumia Archipelago. Crafted by the indigenous elves and merfolk of the region, the shield reflects the unique magic of a place where several leyline nexuses converge, connecting the Fey Realm, the Elemental Plane of Water, and the Abyss. As a result, most enchanted items from the Oumia Archipelago, including this shield, bear the influence of multiple planes of existence. The mithral pieces embedded within the coral are imbued with the power of a lesser water spirit, housed within a jewel at the shield’s center. These mithral fragments, shaped like fish, can float independently, swimming through the air like a school of fish and responding to the commands of the shield's wielder.

Silver Shoal. As a bonus action, you can activate the shield, causing the fish-shaped scales to detach and form a swirling school around you in a 10-foot radius for 1 minute or until dismissed (no action required). While active You and allies within the radius gain a +1 bonus to AC.and have advantage on Dexterity saving throws. Additionally, attacks made from outside the radius against you and allies within the radius are made with disadvantage. The school moves with you, maintaining the 10-foot radius. As a bonus action on your turn, you can command the school to move to a point you can see within 30 feet, maintaining the 10-foot radius at that location. The school automatically returns to you if you moves more than 30 feet away from it. 

Once you used this ability, it can’t be used again until you complete a long rest.

Whirling Veil. While Silver Shoal is active, as a bonus action, you can command the school of fish to swarm a single creature within the radius. The target must make a DC 15Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 2d4 slashing damage and it has disadvantage on its attack roll and Wisdom (Perception) check while within the radius. This effect lasts until the end of the creature's next turn. If the creature leaves the radius, the effect ends, but it is affected again if it re-enters the radius before the end of the duration.
