Each month we are going to highlight one of our amazing volunteers. They are so important to the work that we do and we are so grateful for their time and hard work.
This month we are celebrating Keanna! I sat down and asked her some questions about her experience with us.
How long have you been volunteering at saf?
Since May 2021
Why did you want to volunteer?
I love animals and this was an amazing opportunity
How did you learn about saf?
Social Media
What’s the most rewarding thing about volunteering?
Having fox buddies! I love that I can crouch down and Jebraska or Luka will run up to me (even if I don’t have treats)
What’s the hardest thing?
Making sure that all of the cats and foxes are away so you can pet the chinchillas 😂
What is the one thing you think everyone should know before they choose to volunteer?
That it can be messy/smelly at times, but it’s totally worth it
Who have you developed the closest bond with?
Jebraska <3 he’s let me give him belly rubs
Which fox was the hardest nut to crack for you?
Jade is so skiddish, but I recently brought him some new toys and I immediately saw him let down his guard. I could even hear the squeaky toys across the yard
What is a new skill that you’ve learned through volunteering at saf?
I’ve learned how to be around foxes and all of the work that goes into running a rescue
Thank you so much for all your hard work Keanna!
