For those who don’t know, Borscht, her sister Triple and their mum Judith (formerly Floss) were found living in our back barn. The kittens were not more than 6 weeks old when we found them and mum has barely stopped being a baby herself.
Judith was so incredibly friendly and we found a home for her quickly, with our head of fundraising and development, Meghan, Triple and Borscht took some time.
Triple was curious and we turned her hisses into kisses fairly quickly but Borscht was always terrified and progress was so very slow; we had a home lined up for Triple but didn’t want her to leave, leaving Borscht alone because they’d always been together; well, we got lucky and found a foster who had lots of experience with feral babies and all the time that was needed to help Borscht and she became a foster fail after the resident cats accepted her.
We love seeing our rescues so happy! We do still have two kittens available for adoption - Stevie and McQueen - they’re a bonded brother and sister, 11 months old and sweet as can be. They’re both white and tabby and we’d love to find them a home - they’ve been waiting nearly a year and they deserve a wonderful family. Can you help?
