I unfortunately have to share that we lost another precious baby. Mince, formally known as Mince Meat when first pulled off of the farm. She’s been in Florida since May and has been living with Big Red the entire time. They never actually bonded with one another, but did live peacefully together like roommates. Even though they never played together, they seemed to have respect for one another.

We discovered Mince had cancer. I took her In for a mass removal on her elbow, but had requested radiographs and bloodwork because my gut was telling me something wasn’t right. The mass was in the exact same location as the mass removed when Mikayla first removed her from the farm. The results showed two large masses in her chest, more masses already forming, two more by the large external one I was having removed, and an enlarged heart. The best thing I could do for her was humane euthanasia because she would have otherwise suffered. She was not in pain and I’d rather her be comfortable and happy at the end of her journey. She was an exceptionally sweet girl and I’m thankful she got to live the free life thanks to Mikayla!
