Added 2015-08-26 15:04:31 +0000 UTCSo a friend has brought it to my attention that while not strictly enforced, Patreon is against raffles as a reward tier. Unfortunately that means this month's raffle will be the last one in order to preserve fairness.
Given our time constraints, there's only so much we can do with Patreon - do you guys have any ideas of something that could replace this tier? It was something we relied on heavily, so we're really disappointed, but we see the point Patreon is making and this is something we really should have known before offering a raffle, but did not go over the ToS with a fine-enough toothed comb to see that, sadly.
We need to know how to fill in that gap as soon as possible; I was thinking of a request stream, but I'd have to choose who gets what and that kind of constitutes the same thing a raffle does. :\ I also debated a 'birthday' tier where I draw something on the month of the pledge's birthday, but I'm not sure - what do you guys think? Sevi also proposed an addition to the 5$ tier where I dump my sketchbook for that month, or a % off coupon for commissions.
Whatever reward you propose has to be all or nothing - either everyone gets it, or no one gets it. Keep in mind both Sevi and I work 40+ hours a week, and while I debated getting a part time job instead to make more time, I'm up for a huge promotion and if I get it that will no longer be a possibility.
We're between a rock and a hard place here. We want to do our absolute best to earn the support you're giving us, and while I still post art for the general public on the regular, I'd love to show my support to you guys for... showing your support. Y'know what I'm trying to say here.
