I loved making this character so much. Since we’re into the campaign at this point, I’ll share a bit of her backstory here with these two sets!

Some fun little facts, while Ral’a is a “not so silent” silent monk, she is *not* a natural Githzerai! This is where her trauma with the shooting stars comes from and why she’s “in hiding”

Ral’a is a Githyanki, who served in a crèche, training her whole life. She was close with her Varsh (her supervisor in a way), as they behaved in a more parental role for her. When Ral’a left on her last training mission (killing a mindflayer in combat), she left with the intention of making her Varsh proud. She returned to find their weapons bloodied, their armor abandoned, they were nowhere to be found. Ral’a developed empathy that day, crying and screaming and discovering grief. She was 18, and quickly reminded that Githyanki do not have space for “empathy” and “feeling”. She was shipped off to join a legion of pillagers in the Astral Plane, serving Vlaakith.

This is a part of Ral’a’s silence, she is in a sort of perma-shock, and only speaks when she needs to. She doesn’t understand why she feels the things she does, but it’s Ben so fun exploring her through the little party 🥹 she’s becoming more and more attached to her little friends, I’m so excited about getting deeper into her story!
