Hey there, fellow Gremz, Hobs and Gobz!
So yeah, this week was an annoying one. I had to waste a lot of my time dealing with administrative tedium, going back and forth to places for meetings I can sum-up with "this could've been done via e-mails or phone calls".
This prevented me from doing the main thing I wanted to tackle this week: Elena's new animated sprite. Fret not, as you're reading this, I should be working on it.
So... nothing to show?
No no, I still did things.
For example, I did the Bus background that's gonna appear when using the Travel Map feature. It has a Day and Night version (the Night version is previewe in the video above), and I can easily make more variations (like a darker one for after Midnight).
The other thing I did was the Phone Call sprite:
It basically acts like a character with a couple of animations, it's dynamic and will be expanded to do a couple more things like displaying Apps (don't know which ones yet). Obviously, I can also change the Caller ID on the go. Right now, I have a total of 9 characters, the first 2 being Elena and Johan.
If you're not part of the Hobz & Gobz, you might not be super familiar with the name. He's mentioned in V1.0, but will have a different role, going forward.
Johan is Alex's best bud, his science-bro, a big chill guy who's cool to hang out with, and is involved in creating the serum with Alex. Yeah, in a big departure from the 1.0 story, Hobz & Gobz have voted on the idea that Alex should be the genius chemist behind the serum!
