Hi there everyone, just wanted to catch you guys up on how your money is being spent these days and what improvements to the game are a direct result of your funding.

Website

The Bad Kitty Games website remains ad free. The service I've paid for in advance runs out in November, but so far I'll be able to continue ad-free service without issue. I would like to redesign the site soon, though, as it looks very dated. If any you guys know web design or know somebody who knows web design, I'd be interested in hearing from you- every company I've talked to so far either refuses to work with adult content or charges out the nose to work with adult content.

Drafting Table and Livestream

Nekochan and I have not been able to purchase a drafting table - we held off on getting one until after we got settled in the new house. I have also not been able to get the live stream development started. This month, I am hoping to deliver on one of these two things. Also, now that the office is looking a little nicer after unpacking, I'm hoping to post some photos in about a week or so.

Art Improvements
The art and sound improvement is probably the most relevant right now. Thanks to your support, I've been able to add three people to the Harem Collector team- battler artist Gusbus, sound designer and composer PeaSea, and sprite artist MEHC. If you've been paying attention, you've probably seen some of their work before- Gusbus did the new battler for Glitterfangs in the last update and PeaSea did the new sex scene music and the new theme for the Northmarket Slums. Next update there will be even more new assets- in particular, we now have sprites of Elaiya and Alina lying down, new battlers for Kellos soldiers and cave trolls, and the hair colour for Orange Kid and Raina has finally been corrected in sex scene pics.

Unfortunately, in order to avoid a copyright claim by MagicWhiteLady when she left the team, I am choosing to remove certain assets (Bronwyn, Serade and Raina's face sets, Bronwyn's sprite) for next release. We're working on replacing them (Nekochan scrambling to make new concept is part of the reason why there a significant delay on art commissions), but there have been a couple of speed bumps there. I'm hoping the copyright trouble stops there (there are a lot of things that MWL had simply recoloured to specification, that I don't think count as her intellectual property).

Of course, in addition to this, Kakurine and Gurotaku have also been properly compensated for their work on the game as well. In total, paying the rest of the team takes about a third of our monthly budget (they each get a straight percentage of the Patreon) but it means that the visual and audio quality of the game gets a big upgrade.

Animated Opening
With regards to the animated opening- I've talked to an animator and I have a script written, it's just a matter of getting the art assets he needs together. I hope to get the animator started before the end of the year.

Online Store and Merch

Finally, concerning the store- I hope to be ordering the first merch next month, so Omega Backers should have a gift or two from us by Christmas. I don't know if we'll have a fully automated store right away as my web design skills are complete shit, but at the very least I can give you guys the opportunity to grab yourselves a Bad Kitty Games t-shirt or a "Chaotic Neutral, Bitch!" mug very soon.
