The royal dobe WIP
Added 2021-06-15 06:10:43 +0000 UTCI had time after working today to start a new for fun project! This time, surprisingly, not a wolf! I didn't feel like drawing all the fur- mainly I just wanted to focus on the lighting and shading. Not perfect, as none of my personal work ever seems to be, but I'm not really worried about getting it all 100% right on this piece :) The finished product will probably be rough and more like Mr. Smite rather than my recent drawing, which has more polish.
It's really nice to be able to just draw for fun and without anything in mind. To sit down with a blank canvas and throw some messy lines on, no idea where it's headed. It was something I used to do all the time before I made art my career many years ago, and I've missed it :) Working on these random personal pieces reminds me of those times and gives the same feeling- just painting for entertainment. It's very fulfilling to have that again!
