The Downcast final touches for 2.0 has been finalized. The Downcast is a Lesser Angel race from the Grim Hollow a homebrew setting created by Ghostfire Gaming. They will have 4 subraces, each with a flavored appearance but you can make them look however you wish. Each subrace has an innate spell based on their former celestial master. Their Divine Sangromancy trait will also fully work correctly like RAW!
HIGHLIGHTS
- Fixed Divine Sangromancy which was only working whenever you heal someone. Now works whenever an ally regains hp as stated in RAW.
- Removed Human Tag due to incorrect parent ref.
- Updated/Polished Descriptions and Lore.
- Polished Traits descriptions.
- Polished and fixed presets, now working as intended.
- Modified and made bodies unique giving them new idles.
- Polished Divine Sangromancy Reaction animations and effects.
- Relevant Icons for traits.
- Now Private Part(Nude) friendly
- Adding an Optional Patch for Hit Dice for those who don't want to use my level 20 mod coming that will start off basic but will include proper Hit Dice, Feats, and most of the level 20 passives finalized and a little more than I can quickly restore from my portion of BG3 Beyond(Dead Group Mod Project)
Racial Traits
Movement
You can move 9m per turn.
Divine Learning
Proficiency with Religion & you gain the Thaumaturgy Cantrip.
Divine Sangromancy
When an allied creature within 9m of you regains hit points, you may use a Hit Dice to add to the hit points they restore.
NOTES:
- This doesn't cost a reaction, bonus action, or action to do. It's ONLY a Hit Dice. This is how RAW intended.
- The race will just have generic Hit Dice resources and gain more as you level but currently will restore a Hit Dice based on your Highest Hit Dice. I am releasing another mod that will give you proper Hit Dice amounts and will make the Hit Dice resource an optional patch because of this, for now, it functions like this.
EXAMPLE: If you are a Fighter(D10) and a Monk(D8) it will use the Fighter(D10) Hit Dice amount to heal the ally.
Lingering Divinity
Necrotic damage resistance.
Subraces Traits
You learn the Cure Wounds spell.
You learn the Detect Magic spell.
Requires: 5E Spells
You learn the Branding Smite spell.
You learn the Shield of Faith spell.
RAW DEVIATION
- I changed that if you learn a trait spell you can select the spellcasting ability type to keep it with the modern changes to 5th Edition as this content was made before these types of updates.
- Changed it so that if you have a Spell Slot or Pact Magic you can cast these spells when reaching the right level similar to how all modern innate magic can be used.
- Due to how BG3 Works and how the update just lets you select your own Ability scores you won't have the Ability Score Increases like you stated in RAW.
