To have sabo ask "what is ramen" is crazy like hell...

Ace mentioned Sabo right before he died, and we saw a cut-off version of the sake scene. It just focused on Luffy and Ace because they were the relevant parties at the time.
Remember, Luffy doesn't bring up the past very often. No one on his crew knew who Ace was until they met him and Luffy acknowledged him as his brother. No one knew that Garp was his grandfather until Garp tracked him down in Water 7, and most of the crew didn't know of Luffy's connection to Shanks until relatively recently. Is it really so odd that Luffy never brought Sabo up?
One Piece is really the kind of story that you need to keep a notebook handy for. Oda layers _a lot_ of foreshadowing in, and it's weaved in throughout the entire story. For example, you might think that Reyleigh was first introduced around episode 400, but in actuality, he was first seen in episode 4. There's a reason Oda often referred to as "GOda", and it's because he's so detailed and well planned, that minor instances that meant nothing at the time will have some much more significant meanings years and hundreds of chapters/episodes down the line.
Oda is said to have written the final chapter first, then the first chapter, and then he worked backwards to connect the two points, so you might have some trauma with Skypiea, but everything that is canon is important to keep in mind, even if you didn't like it.

You gotta go watch Luffy remembering the Sake scene again. Idk what episode it was, but you can see a shadow of a third cup :D

Ain't it crazy how we were in Marineford a few episodes ago and Oda had this in the tank still? Just... One Piece is a fucking treasure trove of storytelling. It still blows my mind just how much Oda has in his pockets

So interesting little fact after the ceremony and ace's death, the ceremony is called Sakazuki, traditionally done with weddings, yakuza and as it's used here actual pirates, ironically tho the actual name of Akainu, the man who killed ace is as you might remember: Sakazuki, so in a way what brought the brothers together as a bond was ultimately in name also the thing that ripped them apart

Luffy also never brought up Ace or Garp until they showed up. He doesn't really talk about his past ever.
