November 13th Necroepilogos chapter will be delayed by one week — but, readers will get an extra chapter in the future.

Hello everyone! I’ll try to keep this short.

tl;dr version: Due to a very silly scheduling screw-up on my part, I’m going to delay this week’s Necroepilogos chapter, even though I really don’t want to do so. However! To make up for this, sometime in the next few weeks, I will publish two Necroepilogos chapters at once.

That’s pretty much it! I’m fine, nothing is wrong behind the scenes, please don’t worry.

My new story, Maidens of the Fall, launches this Saturday, with the same 3-week-on-1-week-off schedule; I completely overlooked the fact that this will line up both break weeks on the same week, which is less than ideal. The way I use the break weeks is to accelerate a ton of forward planning and rapid drafting for whatever story is not on break. Over the past year it’s become an essential part of my work-flow, because it lets me focus completely on both stories for multiple days during their own dedicated timeslots, rather than the rapid swapping back and forth I do on weeks where both stories have a publishing date. So! Necro needs to be offset by one week or I risk tripping over my own feet. I have the option of either doing this now, or in three weeks time, and both options suck; I figure that doing it now makes more sense, rips the plaster off sooner, and gives me as much runway as possible before I launch the new story.

This is completely my own fault, because … I don’t know, I can't read a calendar??? I feel very foolish for making this mistake. If I’d realised this last week I would have just moved the Maidens launch forward, or published an extra surprise Necro chapter, but now it’s too late, and I’m owning up to my error.

Anyway, my apologies for this. Regular chapters and a consistent schedule matter a great deal to me, and I know many readers will be a little disappointed this Thursday. However, behind the scenes I’m still actually writing the chapters, so I’ll do a double-chapter post for Necroepilogos sometime in the next few weeks, to make up for this.

And that’s all! Again, sorry about this, everything will be back to normal next week. Hopefully this small change will set me up perfectly for once again publishing two stories at the same time. Which I am very much looking forward to!
