Strength

This little word "too" holds a lot of judgment. How many times i've been told "you talk too much" "you worry too much" "you think too much" "you care too much" I'm not sure how these reflections help?
I know when I'm judging myself for being "too serious" it comes from being told "stop taking everything so seriously" "lighten up" sometimes it felt growing up, that I was either too serious or too silly, I rarely felt accepted just to be me. When you've had a childhood of people dismissing your feelings and opinions, you're either going to play the clown or you're going to be deadly serious as a ways to get people to take you seriously. Neither work. They just cause frustration.
The only opinion you need to care about is your own. Do you slepp well at night?
Do you wake up excited to see the day?
Do you look in the mirror and like who you are. Do you know that you do your best and are happy with yourself for your efforts? Do you at least attempt to love yourself as you are. We have no control over how others perceive us. And as i learned recently in a more profound way....rejection is re-direction.
When someone rejects me, it simply means they weren't a match for me. And now i'm free to find friends, lovers or partners who match me.
