The Wounded Self
Added 2020-07-14 15:37:49 +0000 UTCI recently heard that when people reject us, they are not rejecting our true self, they are rejecting our wounded self. Makes sense. We are all so wounded in one way or another. Most of us find it hard to love ourselves completely, we all reject something about ourselves and others.
In this shame based culture of the West, there is something that has been lost. Forgiveness. we can disagree with something, we can see the world differently, without needing to cancel out the other person completely. i listened to a couple of YouTube videos today that i found really interesting...check them out here:
