A quick known issue for people who have save files from previous versions - you may need to delete this folder to resolve Character Saving being unavailable
C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\NSUDEVR\Saved\SaveGames
Not sure why this is happening but apologies for the inconvenience! I waas devloping with backwards compatibility in mind, so this is frustrating, but I'll try figure out what the issue is sothat save games can work across builds.

Do you have a Vive Cosmos? There is a known issue with that headset's compatibility with UE4. Otherwise, I've been having some strange behavior when I start the project with my HMD outside of the Guardian / Chaperone boundaries, if you could try starting while the HMD is in the center of your play space to make sure this isn't the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm working on trying to figure out what the cause is, since other people have reported similar things.
