I met up with George after our shoot, I thought we were going to the beach. Well, to be fair we ended up at the beach, but the hike to get there was not what I was expecting!
The ocean you can see behind the ocean, that's where we ended up. Instead of going the ordinary way, which is challenging enough as it is, as it is very steep and you have to slide down on your bum, and in summer the clay is very dry and it's a long way down.
Gorge had other ideas, walking down from the top, a path I never knew existed! My thighs the next day were absolutely killing me!!! It's best to grip by going without shoes, but the earth is so hot that every few minutes i had to jump back onto. my sandals! It was worth it....we even found a cave that we could swim to. I'll have to take a photo another time.....
Picture 1. with all the boats. That's our viewpoint as we arrive at the top of the cliff. from here we have to walk down!
After enjoying some time in the sun and having a few swims, and lunch of sweet potatoes, barbecued peppers, tomatoes, and rocket salad, and a banana, we need to find shade. So George carries our bags and walks around the bay, and I swim over to the rocks on the far right of picture 1.
Picture 2 is our walk back to the car.
Can you see a face in the rock?
To get back we have to walk up this cliff, it's steeper than it looks.
No shade in 40degree heat, so we took a pause by this big rock picture 3. and Suze sang some songs!
tip: It's essential to leave a bottle of water in the freezer, so that throughout the day the water slowly melts, and you have ice cold water.
Tip 2: After the hike, Hot saunas, hot baths, epsom salts and magnesium spray for muscles!!!!
Aloe vera for sunburn!!!! They grow wild in Malta
Hope you enjoyed joining me on the hike!
