India was fascinating and eye opening, but the one thing I missed because I ended up spending so much time in cities, because that's where my friends were, was the sea.
If you remember, all those years ago back in 2015 I did an inner child exercise, and my inner child kept insisting that she wanted to live by the sea. my choices were: Brighton, UK, or La Romana/Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, both had a lot going for them, but both were a bit expensive. i discovered Gozo in 2015 when I went to the Naked retreat. aND ENDED up back there for an intimacy workshop, which was when the pieces of the puzzle fell into place and i realised it had the ingredients I was looking for: SUN, SEA, COMMUNITY AND AFFORDABILITY.
I know there are times I have got bored with Gozo, it's slow, you see the same people all the time, go to the bars and hear the same songs being played, and after a while it can feel like groundhog day! Which is why the subtle change to Malta is making a difference. But being near the sea, is really important to me. I grew up near it, I was born in Shoreham by Sea, and when I'm away from it for too long, i get depressed. When I can, I go everyday.
When was the last time you went for a swim in the sea?
If you have pics, add them here, and tag where in the world it is!!!
