Nina Simone's song pretty much sums up how I am feeling right now. This has been a dream of mine for some years now. I have been trying to get out of London, but the pieces of the chess board just weren't lined up for me to make the move before. I thought my new home would be the Dominican Republic or maybe America, but neither were flowing 100% naturally.

In Gozo, everyone I would meet on the island would say "Move to Gozo!" It never occurred to me that this would be the right match. I have been to Malta since 2015 about 5 times now, and as I was driving round the island, it came to me like a bolt of lightning! Gozo! So I went home and vaccinated my cats so that they may be able to join me when the time is right. In just a week I found the right person to catsit for me back in London, and I arrived here on Sunday.

I have found the perfect place to live for the time being with someone I get on super well with.

This video is a little taste of my new life. On the second day we built a wall for this sauna, in the hope that on a calm day (which today was not, the waves were super close!) we can have a sauna and then jump into the sea to cool off! I'll let you know how that goes. This video is a little taster and there's more to come, just getting settled into my new life.

It's definitely time to celebrate my new life with a dance! I'll post that later!
