Christmas Eve

Christmas is a funny time of year, emotions flying high, traditions being met or broken, we all have a particular relationship with this time of year, it's either that we feel lonely, or that we absolutely love it, or hate it, can't wait for it to be over, so many things and different for different people.
Last night I joined some friends, we made food, I took a micro dose of LSD, I felt the intensity of creative ideas flowing, we played virtual reality, at one moment I felt emotional, there was that awkward moment where people started exchanging gifts and I felt the vulnerability of being left out, and realising i had been so detached from Christmas that I had not even thought about shopping. Our hosts mum was with us, and she had hand made all the presents for her son, that made me emotional too, realising that sometimes I am so focussed on the everyday, that I miss those precious moments. My micro dose made me reflect that there are so many beautiful things in this world and in nature I would like to be more present with, to learn to cook, to make scarves and build more with home and community. There are some Spanish girls here in my community who really show me the way with this, so it's good to reflect on changes I want to make in the new year!
