So as the paying members have noticed, I’ve increased your chapters to 7 ahead of public release. I’d hoped to squeeze it up to 8, but this past week has been a bit brutal for writing. Probably sometime this weekend it’ll go to 8. Still plan on it being 10 by end of the month. I’d just like to hit that target sooner rather than later.

Patreon Membership Tier Cost

I’ve been told I’m undercharging for Patreon. I’m not sold on this idea, but I might add higher tiers at least. Eventually.

If I do increase the cost of the existing Tinkerer tier, it’s standard practice to grandfather in the existing members at the old rate, so none of you need to worry.

The current plan is for Tinkerer to have a 10 chapter read ahead on Neophyte.

Second Serial

I’m not doing writeathon, but I am working on a second serial. It’s going pretty slow because I’m focusing on giving more read-ahead chapters for you all, and on the Neophyte World Builder 5/week release schedule. Most likely I won’t be able to launch the second one until I drop to 3/week, which is a ways away.

However, when I do finish the first few chapters, you’ll all get them as a paid tier bonus. It’s a different kind of story so maybe you won’t be interested, but if you are... hey, bonus content.

I’ll probably do a 3-5 read-ahead for Tinkerer members on the new one, once it launches.

Neophyte Plans

The Tastka arc introduces a lot of concepts and has some goals of its own. The end of that arc will signal the end of Volume I of the serial.

This does not mean I’ll stop work on it. At most I’ll take a week long break or something, but I don’t currently plan to even do that. I’m hoping to wrap it up by the end of November but...

Well, things take longer than planned. I’d intended to do a certain plot point in Chapter 51 and it took until Chapter 55 to get to it. So we’ll see.

I may make it into an e-book but nothing concrete there. I’ll avoid stubbing if possible, but KU has an exclusivity thing.
