Book One Download
Added 2020-07-19 14:29:00 +0000 UTCHey guys, this is the complete version for Book One. From this point on updates will be available as patches for $1 and $5 so make sure you keep this copy.
If you already have 0.7 you should be fine, there are only minor adjustments to this one. Typo fixes, some balance changes, and a few minor bug fixes. In August I will have to lock this behind the Ghost tier as per Steams guidelines.
I have also included a patch file. To patch 0.6 to this, simply extract the files from the zip file and copy them inside the game/ folder. You will see files such as scripts.rpa. You want to take these files copy them into that game folder and overwrite anything that is in there. Once done your game will be patched.
On mac it is slightly different. You will need to open the contents of the app. Then go to Contents\Resources\Game and copy the files into that and also make sure you overwrite when asked.

I'm a little puzzled by the version you offer here. Currently, game play through chapter 9 is available elsewhere. Why isn't the newest version provided?

2021-03-24 10:58:22 +0000 UTCJake: as a Mac subscriber myself, I am irritated to report that Apple's latest Mac OS releases do not support 32 bit. Frankly, IDK if Broken Dreamers is 32 or 64 bit native, but Catalina is incompatible with so many of my games I am beside-myself pissed at them. With one software "upgrade" they rendered most of my favorite games unplayable on Catalina. If you still have Mojave, I recommend staying with it. I'm not Philly Games, so I can't answer for their games. They may be 64 bit, for all I know. OTOH, I KNOW that Apple rendered $400+ worth of my games obsolete, unless I reload to Mojave, WHICH my new Mac Lap

I will have a simple zip that you drop the files into the game folder and it will update. I will make a little walkthrough for this but it is only a couple steps. For best results I would download this just so you have it easily available. Saves work across all versions so you are good there as well.

My second question is what does upgrading mean? From what I see it seems stand alone every upgrade. Does that mean you can play chapter 1 thru 7 in one file or need separate files per chapter or can I simply upgrade my steam version if it is like a true upgrade and go from Chapter 1 thru 7 on steam?

I have the game on Steam and have finished the available chapters and can't wait forl Book Two! Your production values are top notch - your images, choice of which scenes to move through and which ones to draw out, your use of tension building transition elements (especially Chapter 7!), the beauty of your characters, all outstanding. And I love the soundtrack. The story and its expression is so good that the porn aspect is really just a side benefit. Sure, it adds goal seeking and without it you would need some other goal. But your story telling and production are so good that if you were to come out with a different sci fi/cyberpunk story without the hard core porn, I'd stlll buy it, as long as I knew up front what I was getting. Probably never happen, because I know how much work this is and I definitely want this story to continue, but just want to make that point of how great a production this is. Thank you for your effort!
