Modding Diary - Next Steps
Added 2024-09-27 21:10:43 +0000 UTC
Long time no talk friends!! : D It is good to be back!
For those of you who don't know I normally do weekly work-in-progress posts (I call them modding diary) but I was away on vacation for a week and a half and just got back a week ago.🫥
I had a really great time in Florida but the weather was so miserably hot 🥵I don't think I've sweated that much in my entire life. Upon returning I finally learned to appreciate the cold weather we have here up north. I know there's a hurricane happening right now in that area and I hope those of you who are in that vicinity are staying safe.
This week I did some more bug fixin for the childbirth mod and I am starting to research for my next update.
For the next update I can either do a midwife active career or bring death to the childbirth mod. I am not saying im only doing one or the other, I'd like to add them both eventually, this poll just helps me to know which one to focus on first. Here is what I have envisioned for the two idea:
🥼Midwife Career:
🥼 Sims will be able to attend classes either online or through rabbit holes to study for their midwifery certification, they must do their home work and study and past the exam before they can become a Doula-in-Training.
🥼 They can then progress and become an Apprentice, Specialized Midwife, Chief Midwife etc. Their job will start with things like doing consultations, teaching birthing techniques.
🥼When they progress in their career they will be able to perform physical exams, and eventually be able to answer house calls to help other sims give birth. And maybe taking care of the babies in NICU? I know it's not exactly midwifes job to do that but I need to make sure there are enough things to keep your sim busy at work without making things repetitive and boring lol we will see
🥼 Sims will be able to unlock some kind of career related special objects when they reach the top level in their career but Im not sure what yet.
If you have experienced loss of a baby or are currently expecting please feel free to skip the Death part.
💀Death
First of all I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, so I will definitely do something to make sure this update is optional.
💀In the death update sims and their baby will have more serious pregnancy complications that may result in their death.
💀The Birthing sim might die suddenly on the birth bed at home or at the hospital after they give birth (while still holding their baby?).
💀Sims might also experience postpartum hemorrhage and drop dead suddenly.
💀Stillbirth babies will be delivered vaginally and handed to your sim wrapped in a small blanket after they are delivered for your sim to say their final goodbyes.
💀Babies who have sever health conditions might not recover from their conditions in the incubator and result in their death.
what are some custom animations you would like to see to make the update more exciting? why did you vote from one or the other and what do you think you will enjoy the most about the one you voted for? I just want to be able to better understand what I can do to make the update more enjoyable and accurately deliver the things that you guys want to see.
Please leave a comment below!
I hope you all have a good weekend! 💖

can there be a buff made for sims that deliver their babies without an epidural?

2024-11-07 14:39:33 +0000 UTCI would really love a midwife career but please make homebirth midwife a viable route <3

2024-10-12 07:03:21 +0000 UTCGood idea, probably best to have it toggled off on startup and be able to toggle it on if you want it 👌 (two separate toggles 1:for birthing parent 2: infant) just incase people want one and not the other
kassandra
2024-10-12 06:52:15 +0000 UTCboth sound so exciting

2024-10-05 13:14:12 +0000 UTCI ABSOLUTELY AGREE!
Kenaysha Clemons
2024-10-03 20:19:38 +0000 UTCI would love a midwife career. But, as an addition, I would also like to see some type of gender selection added, maybe prenatal vitamins with an updated hospital and maternity ward.

2024-10-03 10:11:14 +0000 UTCthats such a good idea and i feel like it could really tie into the mother and babies health conditions and if the death part is added

2024-10-03 07:22:32 +0000 UTCI love you for actually offering to implement he idea i mentioned🥺🥺

2024-10-03 07:21:07 +0000 UTCIdk if this is possible, but being able to hold funerals or memorial services for the babies and mothers that pass away would be really cool. I’m not sure if the new expansion will cover funerals, cremations, or other end of life decisions but I think it’s def something that others would be into (I hope it’s not just me anyway…)

2024-10-03 02:43:48 +0000 UTCi would really lake to see the death part because i thing it's more exciting especially because of the new pack that is comming on the 31 of this month ,it would make sence to have this realism in the game.....omg really i can wait to see your next work Pandasama :) <3

2024-10-02 18:26:28 +0000 UTCFor the next steps, I think it would be cool to have deco incubators with babies (Or have the ability for more than one family to be in the NICU at a time so that we could set up a functional NICU for storytelling.) ALSO if a sim is breastfeeding for there to be an option to pump autonomously. My poor sim is miserable when she goes out to rabbit holes and such.

2024-10-02 18:01:33 +0000 UTCI like both and my vote was simply based on which one I think I’d encounter first in my game. Current sims already have career plans so death would likely be first in my game.

2024-10-02 08:36:48 +0000 UTCthank you for all the hard work on this mod!!!
thepinksharpie
2024-10-01 22:14:11 +0000 UTCI voted for midwife career, as I find that you can add more to the mod without going through a mentally rough time researching. Some custom animations I'd like to see... Chrissy mentioned it in an earlier comment but maybe more midwife-specific births (bed/bathtub/couch or chair)? Or animations of midwives checking on the newborn afterwards (weighing them, checking heartbeat/breathing/etc). Maybe during the labor process there can be more comfort-the-birther animations (like the recent hospital comfort animation, but at home?)
thepinksharpie
2024-10-01 22:13:51 +0000 UTCdamn thats a great idea

2024-10-01 21:06:16 +0000 UTCThank you so much for creating this mod! I'm glad you had fun in Florida! I've been to Florida twice and it was very hot the first time, but warm in the winter😄. I think the death update would be amazing, adding something completely new to Sims 4. There are some midwife careers out there, while most won't be as detailed and amazing as yours would be (not to put down other creators), I think a death update would add a little more value. It could affect the relationship between friends and family, like feelings of guilt that they may have cause their's babies condition or having difficultly facing their partner and being more isolated from everyone, depression, etc. Therapy sessions and support groups and maybe compatibility with RPO's pregnancy risks. Hope you had a good weekend too!

2024-10-01 18:44:22 +0000 UTCFirst of all, I love the work you do. I voted the midwife career but I think both are amazing ideas. Death would be great for storytelling but like others say optional is a great idea for that. The midwife career would be a lot of fun to play with. I would also love to see more interactions between the expecting couple or single sim maybe with family? Like their parents? With special buffs for that. Ignore if you don't like the idea. I'm happy with any new features. Anyway, have a great day.
M.
2024-10-01 17:53:58 +0000 UTCHahaha it’s a tie! 1044/1044 wow we need both I guess lol
RedheadXOX
2024-10-01 16:00:23 +0000 UTCI voted for death although I love both! Death would certainly add to story telling and realism albeit a bit grim.

2024-10-01 14:18:53 +0000 UTCThat’s what I’m planning on doing!
PandaSama
2024-10-01 01:22:38 +0000 UTCI voted midwife career, because of personal loss in pregnancy. I will never use the death mod, but understand why some people want it. When you do the death one, would it be possible to have it as an optional add-on, not just a toggle in the base? About the worse thing I could picture would be toggling it off in my game, and then a glitch or bug causing it to happen regardless.
EeveeNerd
2024-10-01 00:58:31 +0000 UTCI don't know if you are involved with Basemental at all, but it would be interesting to see if drug and alcohol use are detrimental to the baby.

2024-09-30 22:38:46 +0000 UTCIm gonna have to agree with majority lol both of these would be amazing!!

2024-09-30 20:59:14 +0000 UTCit's warm AND humid...we moved down here from Chicago so we kind of knew it would be like our summers all year long...been here a year and still getting used to it...LOL
CAROL J FRITZGERALD
2024-09-30 20:33:11 +0000 UTC🥳! I really hope you'll consider the other someday too. I know someone else did it first but they haven't touched it in years and it's completely broken at this point. I really miss it and thank it would be a perfect addition to Realistic Birth (I mean, that's about as Realistic as you can get 🙃)
Simslegacy5083
2024-09-30 20:27:06 +0000 UTCyes I agree a counselling service would be a good addition to the death update💜
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:18:30 +0000 UTCI will have to see if it's possible!
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:16:45 +0000 UTCya I used to think maybe I would wanna live in Florida one day cuz I thought I loved the warm weather, but I didn't realize just how warm it is lol. there's no way I can survive the summer there
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:16:18 +0000 UTCit will be made as an active career lol no way im just gonna do a rabbit hole
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:13:11 +0000 UTCI definitely do plan on finishing the multiple home birth animations
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:12:18 +0000 UTCI don't have answers yet for most of these questions until I start making the update. Im not sure if the baby will appear in the family tree if they pass at birth, I will have to see how the game handles it. I think you should still be able to input a name, but again won't know until I get there. but I love these questions!
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:10:38 +0000 UTCSeeing this notification pop up on my phone completely out of context was hilarious! LOL

2024-09-30 20:06:58 +0000 UTCthank you for your kind words <3
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:05:15 +0000 UTCit's good to hear im not completely off base for wanting midwifes to work in the NICU lol
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:03:47 +0000 UTCThank you :))
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:02:37 +0000 UTCI love the idea of hand and footprints as well as a memory box!
PandaSama
2024-09-30 20:00:35 +0000 UTCBoth please oh my goodness
Courtneyxo
2024-09-30 15:24:49 +0000 UTCPlease do both. Death in particular would be groundbreaking
Ella
2024-09-30 07:29:36 +0000 UTCI would love the death as an optional version it just adds to the realism of how events can go. I’ve thought of this before for sims
deshonsims
2024-09-30 06:56:48 +0000 UTCI vote for both! I want my game as real as possible. I like the other idea someone else gave. To let it be an option in the settings if you want to do it or not (infant death)
Ashleigh Gibson
2024-09-30 01:35:49 +0000 UTCI would love both of these! I also have said this before, but I am also interested in new birth animations, (sitting in the chair, lying on the floor, on the couch, or in the bathtub) or have someone other than a birth-partner help with the non-pool homebirth. (That is... if its possible to do)
Christy Wakeen
2024-09-29 20:33:24 +0000 UTCthe midwife career would be fun, but i voted for death because i think it would make an interesting story to have a mom (or baby, or both) die in childbirth and the dad/other spouse has to work through their grief and then try and find love again.
Dyan Jolly
2024-09-29 20:16:39 +0000 UTCI would love both but think death would be easier to do first and then you can take your time doing the career mod.
kitten
2024-09-29 18:16:06 +0000 UTCI don’t know which to choose because I like the idea of adding death because it’s true to life and it can happen but I also like the idea of midwife being a carer option. It’s so hard to choose because I would love both. Damn you’ve not made it easy to choose. I voted both I just couldn’t decide I’ll be happy with whichever one wins.
Katie Baylis Ward
2024-09-29 17:17:32 +0000 UTCI would be excited for either. As an aspiring midwife myself, I am eagerly waiting for the midwife update, but I would be equally excited (may be the wrong word!) for a death update. Practically speaking, maybe death would be better to do first because the midwife could then also have to deal with death in the career whenever you get to that section of the mod. For the death aspect, you could add bereavement care animations, such as taking the lost baby's hand and footprints. That might be a bit much for the sims, though? Maybe sims could take home a memory box (or a single item) like many hospitals give to baby loss parents in real life, and inside could be the baby's hand/footprints, a photo, a letter, and a locket. Or any combination of special items that the sim could remember their baby by.
Bethany Morledge
2024-09-29 12:56:45 +0000 UTCI said death it is quite a gruesome choice buy it is reality in all fairness I like to play the sims 4 for realism.i think it's great that you had a warning to people about the death option I think that's very considerate of you.i do want the midwife career aswell though.
Sophiee Sharples

2024-09-29 01:30:04 +0000 UTCI like to pretend my sims life is just happening. Can't wait.
NessaNessa
2024-09-29 01:24:19 +0000 UTCI definitely like the idea of adding death to the experience, though if I can, my two suggestions would be options to toggle: 1. Infant death: So Sims could still die from childbirth, but the uncomfortableness of infant death could be removed for some, rather than simply turning off death altogether And 2. The visuals/animations, so if someone wanted to play with infant death they could, but it could strictly be off screen for them if they wanted it to be Just some ideas, I know making this stuff optional would be exceptionally hard and time consuming, I just wanted to share my ideas
TheDesignatedDreamer
2024-09-28 23:32:07 +0000 UTCI certainly agree! I’m gonna look into it
PandaSama
2024-09-28 21:01:15 +0000 UTCwould much prefer to midwife option the death one seems a bit too doom an gloom but like another comment said a cpr option would be good along with maybe death from birth, i just personally don't think death of babies would make the game enjoyable.
Carly Booth
2024-09-28 20:38:22 +0000 UTCThese are some awesome ideas. I think a CPR animation would be cool. Maybe with a chance that the CPR can prevent death. But, I don't know if something like that is possible.
royanne dowden
2024-09-28 19:58:14 +0000 UTCI love The midwife Career but i also like The other one too but maybe tis as optional so it can be switched on and off 🙈
LipsLikeMorphine
2024-09-28 19:17:18 +0000 UTCI personally want both I don’t know which one to pick
TyQuanesha
2024-09-28 19:11:09 +0000 UTCShe said she's planning on both eventually!
DC
2024-09-28 18:57:48 +0000 UTCDeath would be good for storytelling/drama (especially for historical saves), but I think more users would have fun with the midwife career. IDK, I'm just happy to see new features!
DC
2024-09-28 18:57:07 +0000 UTCMy vote goes for the career. While it adds realism, if death gets added, I think it should be optional and something that can be switched off in settings for people who don’t want that in their game for personal reasons.
Ashley
2024-09-28 16:49:40 +0000 UTCThe death adds so much more realism for the mother and baby, sad but amazing idea!
Kayla Blanchett
2024-09-28 15:51:07 +0000 UTCI like the idea of both, I think death for one of my sim couple, would add greatly to it
LAURA TYUS
2024-09-28 15:27:24 +0000 UTCI love both of them I think the death is a good idea to make where you can deactivate it in settings I love your mod so much ❤️
Tena Hankins
2024-09-28 15:03:10 +0000 UTCHappy you got to be away and enjoy yourself ! These upcoming updates seem so cool ! Serioulsy with Get To Work, I feel like you could have branches for the careers, so a midwife career would definitely be a good addition. Now on the death part, I understand that it can be a trigger for people, but also it will add more realism to the game. Just has to get a low percentage for it happening so our sims don't go through to this. I'm just here for all the realism. Thank you for your hard work !
Cynthia
2024-09-28 15:01:25 +0000 UTCOmg the midwife career seems so cool yes please! 🙏🏽
juicyyy
2024-09-28 12:05:20 +0000 UTCI am looking forward, whatever it will be. My favorite would be the midwife career. Maybe you could make new birth positions possible. I am waiting for that since 2 updates, but I love everything, what you do. You are doing so great, Pandasama.
coffeebagsnpaper_millaine
2024-09-28 11:57:44 +0000 UTCMidwife career please!! I have already built a midwifery practice, I am completely ready for it
Myrthe Blom
2024-09-28 10:05:57 +0000 UTCPlease make it so the death aspect can be deactivated in settings. I know many want it realistic, but this game is part of how I (and maybe others) deal with my personal loss and infertility. I love your mod and would hate to have to no longer play with it. Thank you.
ZekeBelcher
2024-09-28 09:10:47 +0000 UTCDefinitely the midwife career it would tie in so nicely with your mod and they’re really isn’t enough active careers in the base game. As much as re love the realistic mods playing sims is a way of escaping into a different world free from our troubles and real life for just a few hours x
Sarah Johnson
2024-09-28 08:53:14 +0000 UTCHi, both seem great. Midwifes do actually work in the NICU in my country. They also work on Consultations, Fertility, Mother intensive care unit, First line, Maternity ward and delivery room.
Jante Verheyen
2024-09-28 06:26:32 +0000 UTCich schließe mich der mehrheit an und bevorzuge beides, jedoch zu beginn die Tod option ..danke für deine arbeit
Annu0815
2024-09-28 05:34:49 +0000 UTCI would be more happy when its possible to make a real postpartum. The game is missing that part of pregnancy….
Michelle Göke
2024-09-28 05:24:42 +0000 UTCpreferably both :)
Sarah K.
2024-09-28 04:16:26 +0000 UTCbefore I had my youngest son, i was pregnant with an egg that didn't form into an embryo and that pregnancy was called a blighted ovum and wonder if you can make that in an update too
Tosha Freeman
2024-09-28 04:08:09 +0000 UTCto be honest. i'd prefer both
Tosha Freeman
2024-09-28 04:06:10 +0000 UTCI think I already lost my sim on haemorrhage trough a different mod and would prefer an active carrier as a midwife
RedheadXOX
2024-09-28 03:46:20 +0000 UTCMore positions would also be cool
EvilRegal
2024-09-28 03:35:12 +0000 UTCWould *much* prefer the career as I would love a new active career that would add to the medical career and to have the option for the midwife to be my own sims vs a random spawned sim (or having to temporarily promote a sim to the top of the doctor career) - I will most likely never use the death option
EvilRegal
2024-09-28 03:32:43 +0000 UTCI have lost baby and unfortunately it is a part of life and we need to make the game as real as it can get. And that is where you come in, so death mod is needed. And the midwife is a good one to it will give are sims to share in seeing life come into the world.
Cat mom
2024-09-28 02:44:35 +0000 UTCEu gostaria de ambos, mas já que tem que escolher, escolho morte, gosto do meu jogo mais realista.
Vólusims
2024-09-28 01:48:24 +0000 UTCThere will eventually be both. This just sets a priority for which will come first
Nikki F
2024-09-28 01:21:07 +0000 UTCI’d like both but prefer the death update more as I love realistic mods and want more realistic complications in the sims that happens in real life I feel like death would be so much better the midwife as midwife is more career related then gameplay family related and most ppl might not want to make the sim a midwife
Kayla Stewart
2024-09-28 01:12:50 +0000 UTCI want both! But voted for death because i really want new, more realistic stories with my sims. Your mod was one of the first mods I’ve ever downloaded and played with because i love the story telling lol. I know it triggers some but i think it just adds more realism to my game.

2024-09-28 00:59:34 +0000 UTCSAME !!! But we have to chose

2024-09-28 00:21:36 +0000 UTCtbh I don't wanna be greedy but I want both please

2024-09-28 00:19:38 +0000 UTCI’m just voting because I get to but I’m good with whatever.

2024-09-28 00:07:06 +0000 UTCDeath 🥰🥰🥰🪦🪦🪦🥰🥰🥰
Juliette
2024-09-28 00:03:59 +0000 UTCYes! Would love to see interventions if possible, like hospital stays, bed rest, extra checkups.
Abby
2024-09-28 00:03:02 +0000 UTCI would like the death option w/ a toggle for a setting to be able to turn it on or off like the lactation, weight gain, so on.
Savannah Wixson
2024-09-28 00:02:42 +0000 UTCDeath would be awesome addition would they die while doing unassisted birth as well? Or even with a partner
Elizabeth Tyler
2024-09-28 00:01:56 +0000 UTCI like the idea of either, would be good to see some kind of therapy option for after the death of the baby. if the baby is a still birth how would it appear within the family tree? Could we have option to input a name and that the baby passed away at birth? Can we mark the sim as high risk for any future pregnancies? If the mother passes and there isn't another parent in the house what happens to the baby? Can we choose or will it be automated? What about siblings could we have an option on telling siblings what's happened to baby or even mum or both, offer them counselling? Could we get little baby spirts like we do adult? Just some ideas floating about my head.
Ashley Stanbra
2024-09-27 23:17:49 +0000 UTCDeath was something I was wanting before u posted this. Voted.
Giesbrecht Dana
2024-09-27 23:02:09 +0000 UTCI picked death only because there are several midwife careers already available. Yours is definitely more interactive but at the moment I can do without out it. I would like death. I love storytelling and grief is apart of life. And as someone who has experienced tragic events in my life, playing it out in sims is very helpful. Death would be extremely beneficial to a Realistic Childbirth mod
Taylor Green
2024-09-27 22:50:25 +0000 UTCI picked the midwife one bc I love active careers. But a death update would be amazing for realism and storytelling. It’s not talked about enough. And bringing awareness to it would be great.
Kiara Karlisse
2024-09-27 22:40:26 +0000 UTCI agree there has to be some kind of depth to it that affects the sim and even maybe their family relationship
PandaSama
2024-09-27 22:34:58 +0000 UTCI picked one and was wondering if sometime in the future can we have the one that came in second place? Either way thank you for your hard work.
Sonya Holcomb
2024-09-27 22:32:54 +0000 UTCI would love to see death as a possibility especially in historical saves
DarlingAnon
2024-09-27 22:30:37 +0000 UTCI prefer death. I like to play my game with a lot of realism, so having that chance would be neat for storytellers. I think with the new pack coming out, it could work alongside your mod. A feature that would be nice is if the baby passes, maybe your sim will receive some sort of memory like a footprint ?
Forever Simgirl
2024-09-27 22:21:36 +0000 UTCI would love to see when a sim goes in for an ultrasound they can also hear the heartbeat
AquariusSimz ♒️
2024-09-27 22:17:15 +0000 UTCI voted for the midwife career because you have been talking about it for while now. But I still most definitely want the death update as well. I want all the realism that what keeps me playing. But I feel like it's only right to do the midwife one first because it's been talked about a few times in the past that I can remember.
AprilSmiles
2024-09-27 22:14:15 +0000 UTCMidwife, even though death does sound realistic I would rather just pick Midwife.

2024-09-27 22:13:33 +0000 UTCI always suggest death but again it would need to be “deep” like the lost of a child could cause parents dynamics to change either better or worst. Maybe mom couldn’t handle the lost of the baby and now with RPO mod never wants children or she could go to therapy and after be ready to try again but cute interaction like partner being able to assure mom things will be great or maybe a scared mood let wood pop up if mom gets spotting. It would really have to flushed out but Panda you NEVER disappoint

2024-09-27 22:13:01 +0000 UTCGonna be honest, neither of these interest me that much, but I prefer adding to the main mod vs something that feels not as directly related to birth for the playable sim, so death it is. May I suggest death be an optional add-on package? At this point breaking the mod into modules in general feels like a good idea, but this one for sure, I think needs to stand alone. Do you have any future plans to add more basic updates like finishing off the multiples homebirth animations or making it so sims have different belly sizes based osihow many sims they are carrying?

2024-09-27 22:04:59 +0000 UTCThis was a tough choice..lol...I want them both..lol

2024-09-27 22:03:57 +0000 UTCDeath would be amazing. It is a missing in NICU 😭

2024-09-27 22:00:46 +0000 UTCThe midwife career for sure. Would you be making it into a ctive career eventually? and addign a birthing center lot would be cool too

2024-09-27 21:59:53 +0000 UTCI like the idea of death; however, I do play with Mortem so compatibility with that would be amazing.

2024-09-27 21:58:58 +0000 UTCThe Death Update. It would definitely add more realism and drama to the game.

2024-09-27 21:48:48 +0000 UTCHuhu Panda. :) I think your ideas for both expansions are incredible! This will bring sooo much more realism into the game and also drama. However, I voted for the midwife for now because I have had the irrepressible desire for a third child for years (8 to be exact). But since it wasn't meant to be, I thought about going to midwifery school so that I could still continue to work with babies. That didn't work out either, so I'd love to at least be a midwife in Sims. *smile* Kind regards, Mirja Feedback

2024-09-27 21:46:39 +0000 UTCYou were in my neck of the woods! We moved here from Chicago and the heat has been the hardest part to get used to...lol Either o these choices would be fine with me!

2024-09-27 21:44:32 +0000 UTCDefinitely death for more realism and story gameplay. I'm more interested in having a midwife than my sim being one. It's also a good addition considering the new Life And Death pack coming out.

2024-09-27 21:41:46 +0000 UTCI would love it if the Midwife Sim could talk to pregnant Sims about their Job. And I would love it if the Sim could work for family, my be the Sim has to ask the option to ask to help or will be asked ?

2024-09-27 21:39:45 +0000 UTCI feel like both will add to the experience just because it would make the story lines so interesting and even more emotional with the connection with their stories.

2024-09-27 21:38:58 +0000 UTCDeath! It would make my gameplay especially for historical gameplay so more accurate!

2024-09-27 21:36:03 +0000 UTCI love them both. The midwife career would be a great addition to gameplay and storytelling, but the death addition would definitely bring a more intense and touching realism to the game. I'll be happy with either one.

2024-09-27 21:35:54 +0000 UTCNOTE: if the pregnant sim can die with the baby still in the belly during childbirth it would be perfect...Also the father can suffers the loss of the 2

2024-09-27 21:35:19 +0000 UTCI would really like the DEATH update... Personally, I think it would be very fun to live that sad and realistic episode in the game...

2024-09-27 21:33:23 +0000 UTCThe death is very realistic

2024-09-27 21:30:24 +0000 UTCWith the loss, would there be some sort of rabbit hole or way to have the affected sims to go to counseling? I miscarried very early in my first pregnancy (I didn’t even know I was pregnant), and the grief didn’t really hit me until 3 years later. So, I hope counseling would be part of the loss. I think the loss is a natural progression of the mod, moreso than the midwife career; however, the only reason I would vote midwife career first is for that fact that it will be more universally accepted.

2024-09-27 21:30:01 +0000 UTCOoooo I love them both, but I do like to make stories out of my sims, so having the death feature would be really cool, especially if I want to do another medieval gameplay. Babies and mothers did die a lot in those times. Oh but now that I’m saying that, there were midwives for queens. Man this is conflicting lol.

2024-09-27 21:27:12 +0000 UTCI love the sound of both mods. I really live realism in game and your mods are my favourite

2024-09-27 21:24:36 +0000 UTCI don't like the idea of the realistic death options, life is already too dark and messed up lately with everything going on, especially overseas. It's fine if that's what people are into but I am personally not. I would much rather have the new career option, it sounds like a lot of fun. Please include an option to turn off or exclude the death content altogether if that is the option that wins, I personally do not want it in my game.
Rin
2024-09-27 21:23:32 +0000 UTCHonestly the death mod. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I lost definitely love the realism in my game. No matter how dark it is.

2024-09-27 21:22:03 +0000 UTCI think my only suggestion for adding death would be to have a hemorrhage be an emergency that has the potential to be fixed and keep the uterus, be fixed but lose the uterus (adds the infertile trait or somehow sets pregnancy rate to 0), or fatal. I think I’d rather have the potential for intervention like with miscarriages and in real life. This is such an amazing mod and I love how realistic you’re making things! Thank you Panda!!

2024-09-27 21:21:48 +0000 UTCbring on realism it might be dark but so is life in general

2024-09-27 21:20:01 +0000 UTCI’m a huge fan of realistic gameplay, i always have life tragedies on as well for a little added realism. The idea of birthing death/stillbirth/child death after birth is a really nice touch to such an already realistic mod
becca
2024-09-27 21:17:41 +0000 UTCMore realism, even if its hard. I miss like collapsing animations, due to dizzyness during Pregnancy in general but also because of complications.
Bibifly
2024-09-27 21:17:28 +0000 UTCHonestly both are good ideas. I’m all for new careers though because get to work definitely lacked imo, so that’s why I voted for that one, but I’d love to see both.
Esmeralda
2024-09-27 21:17:04 +0000 UTCI love both! I play my game as close to realistic as possible so I believe gameplay would benefit from the realism death would bring. I can’t wait for both new features though! And welcome back! I live in the midwest and can’t imagine living south either 😭
AbrasiveLight66
2024-09-27 21:16:32 +0000 UTCIf the death one is the chosen one, can there be a way to disable it? I lost a baby and would appreciate not having to relive it again! Thanks for understanding!
Trish
2024-09-27 21:15:08 +0000 UTCThese both sound amazing so it was a tough choice but I think the death aspect would give so much more realism. Also welcome back

2024-09-27 21:14:52 +0000 UTCI love the idea of midwifery, but I liveeee (pun intended) for the idea of these realistic things bringing more depth to the game.
