Do You Prefer.... (POLL)

Legitimate question. For those following the latest episodes on Tumblr, will notice our shift into more story-driven content about the characters. Those on Twitter, still trying to catch up to our current content, will not really know what's going on here.
We have long wondered, what do you the reader prefer? Usually when we do story-driven content on Tumblr, most "fly-by" viewers don't care and it gets very low engagement. But other outlets we share with such as twitter, eats it up! So what you do you prefer? Humor based comics or our story-driven comics? We of course try to do a fine balance, but if our audience is changing, we will happily move that way. You won't hurt our feelings, so choose an option. Share more in-depth thought in comments! We are really curious.

Thank you very much. :)
2021-11-04 00:20:43 +0000 UTCBest of both worlds. Thank you.
2021-11-04 00:20:34 +0000 UTCProbably the best response here. You nailed it I think. I never personally thought of it that way, but I think you are exactly right. I really do. Thank you for sharing that.
2021-11-04 00:20:19 +0000 UTCSo simple and straight to the point. Love it!
2021-11-04 00:19:35 +0000 UTCFan-service can be fun in the right instances. We don't really do it because we are heartless meanies. Calvin & Hobbes is a lovely example to bring up. They were the inspiration for some of the episodes we made with more scenery and different perspectives. Actually, one is coming up real soon.
2021-11-04 00:19:21 +0000 UTCThank you.
2021-11-04 00:18:21 +0000 UTCAdmittedly the more humorous comics are my favorite, but I also enjoy following the continuous story threads

2021-11-03 00:39:11 +0000 UTCYea, I like the long stories told over many comics, they're cool. I like the character building that happens during that. I also like silly ponies and funny faces and, yea.

2021-11-03 00:25:13 +0000 UTCI feel like both are important in their own ways. For those who follow the comic for longer, I feel like story pays off more, but when you need to engage newer readers, then humor helps bring them in.

2021-11-02 18:48:39 +0000 UTCI click for the jokes. I stay for the story
2021-11-02 03:44:53 +0000 UTCFor a moment, I thought you meant comedy or fanservice. X3 Anyway, I'd probably say 60/40 for humor and plot respectively. I guess kinda like Calvin & Hobbes. I usually enjoy the more one-off funnies, but I do like some of the lengthy stories too.

2021-11-02 01:18:35 +0000 UTCI like story arcs. That doesn't mean they can't have the occasional one-off 1-day funny thrown in as well.

2021-11-02 00:28:33 +0000 UTCI like both too. Our goal is to try and figure out the perfect balance among YOU, the reader. :D Thanks, CC.
2021-11-01 22:45:28 +0000 UTCThat is helpful! You gave feedback. :)
2021-11-01 22:44:56 +0000 UTCSo a 50/50.
2021-11-01 22:44:35 +0000 UTCOooh, interesting. Thank you so much. I wasn't honestly expecting a split like that.
2021-11-01 22:44:19 +0000 UTCThank you for that very insightful input. Nice and thoughtful. We already try to do that balance. You brought up how when a longer story arc happens, you like something more comedic after. That is a tactic we do indeed employ. :) It also makes perfect sense what you said about the difference between "the episodes you love the most" over the one's that help draw you in for the long term. You really provided great feedback. Thank you.

2021-11-01 21:59:47 +0000 UTCHonestly I prefer a mixture of both. I enjoy the more story-driven arcs because it gives us a chance to really dive into the characters and their personalities and relationships, and it gives us a deeper attachment to them because of it. But after a longer story-piece has come to natural pause, I enjoy seeing shorter, comedic episodes as sort of a palette cleanse, a way to just enjoy smiling at their silly antics and witty observations that make them so endearing. Oftentimes the one-off funny comics are the ones I end up loving the most just because of how accessible they are, but I wouldn’t be so heavily invested in the series as a whole if it weren’t for the longer story arcs. It’s that balance you mentioned that makes this series special. It’s not just one thing or the other, it’s a little of both, just like real life. And it’s that diversity of style that makes me love it so much.

2021-11-01 21:53:58 +0000 UTCI'd say my preference is about a 60/30 split between story/humor. Not to say that those are mutually exclusive
2021-11-01 21:49:29 +0000 UTCNaturally, I'd prefer both. That's just me. XD
