A Mother's Tale Episode Discussion
Added 2021-11-10 01:43:30 +0000 UTCHi everyone, sorry for the delay in new posts. Patreon was having issues and it wouldn't allow creators in some cases to actually POST new things. So let me try to make this post extra good to make up for that. I will do that by brining in some fan-favourite characters!
Twilight joins Lyra and the little guy Trevor at his box fort! We took an extra amount of time drawing backgrounds for this mini arc, and it's one of our favs. It might not be too funny, but it builds something up for the future. Something we've never done before.... a mystery!!! Oooh, I'm excited!
The clear inspiration for this is the coming of autumn. Not only that, but the 2014 cartoon mini-series, "Over the Garden Wall." So if you haven't seen that, you won't get all the upcoming little nods and references in upcoming episodes.
Other than that, we got to play around with theming and imagination. We've never really done a whole lot of that, but our goal is to further turn Trevor's time in the series, to be like a mini medieval kingdom. It will be fun to make the characters have to behave like in the middle ages for short periods of time. We're building up the silly lore, like his castle, kingdom, his knights, and the grand wizard, who is really just his Mom.

Yeah. It’s always terrible when a website/app works great for months then you have an update that seems to break some things. Well can’t make an omelet without breaking a couple of eggs I guess.
