Progress Update: Hurricane Inbound

I just wanted to give you a small update. I recently moved to Florida just a few months ago, and already experiencing my first hurricane. At the moment, it looks like I will likely get hit. I'm all rather inexperienced in this matter as I've lived in Cali my whole life, but I want to make sure my safety is number one priority. Second, I don't want to take the chance of having power go out for multiple days and lose out on all that time for work.
I plan on driving out of state and into a hotel for a few days at least. Somewhere where I likely won't get it and have guarantee power for my computers. So in short... I'll be taking a 7-8 hour to Georgia, stay in a hotel and keep working as scheduled. Will come back home as soon as I know the storm has passed and power is back on.

Yeah, it went from a Cat 5 that will directly hit where I live, to a Cat 2 that barely hits me. Good news, but kind of annoying... lol. I believe power never went out and I’ll be doing my 7 hour drive back today. Also, I stayed at the middle right edge of Alabama so I was decently away from it heh
