UPDATE: Work in Progress Report – November 19, 2020

Hello everyone, I hope that you all are doing well, I wanted to take a little bit of your time to let you know how things are going over here and how things have been progressing for the release of “Chapter Two” to “Wicked Choices: Agents of Karma”.

Once again, the entire State of Michigan is under ‘Shutdown’ for the next 3 weeks to a month due to the virus. They’ve been reporting that the current spike is 4x’s greater than the spike that caused our first shutdown earlier this Spring…

…which means no rehab for me and more time to work on the game!

Which is exactly what I’ve been doing lots of… with some breaks of course so that I don’t create problems with my recent surgery on my back. 

BUT, I currently have nearly 2,000 rendered sprites (of Sister Katarina and the Archangel Gabriel) finished!

I had hoped to have all of them done by writing this update for all of you, but… honestly, the renders of the Archangel Gabriel are taking a little more time to accomplish and render, due to the fact that her 3D mesh (unlike Sister Katarina’s) is really freaking dense with a lot of geometry and polygons, as you’ll be able to see in the two following images:

With the new version of Poser 12 that was released the first week of November (this month), I was able to render each of Sister Katarina’s 1,350 sprites at about 1 render a minute… however, because of the density of the Archangel Gabriel’s mesh (particularly her hair) her renders are taking nearly 5 minutes a render to accomplish… so, doing 1,350 renders of her sprites is taking a considerable amount of more time than I had counted on.

But hope to have all of hers done this weekend and then I can render out the other two characters, Father Kopa and Océane Camille Fontaine (a character created by our patron Cùran)… so, my goal is to have 5,400 sprite renders completed by this time next week!

Then, the next task for me is to return to finishing the rest of the sex scenes that you’ll be able to choose and enjoy between the mysterious Larsen (the character created and inspired by Sierra3) and Karma’s messenger: Raogrior… to finish out the chapter, assemble it all together and release to all of you.

That is where the current situation here stands, with the exception that I want to take a moment to wish Sierra3 a speedy recovery, he’s having surgery for Carpal Tunnel today as this is being written, but he said it shouldn’t interfere with his task of doing editing of my writing for the game or adding the sound effects… so, we shouldn’t have a problem there.

Additionally, expect a “HELP WANTED” call to go out from us after the release of “Chapter Two” to “Wicked Choices: Agents of Karma” to look for someone who will be able to help us do Sprite Handling (injecting the Character Sprites) into the game script… we’ll have a better idea as to the work that would be involved for that job task, as well as, the money that we’ll pay for that work, once we’ve done it ourselves after “Chapter Two” is completed and released.

Well, that about covers the update for now… all that is left is to thank all of you for remaining true and supporting us as we progress on things around here and to welcome the new people that have joined us. We wouldn’t be able to continue to do this without your support and the care that you’ve shown us, we REALLY appreciate it and we’ll talk soon!
