Pointing Command Orc
Added 2021-07-06 09:30:01 +0000 UTCI've found the 10mm orcs very useful for sketching out quite a basic form then I can go back and adjust plus add detail for 28mm. So here are images of the first orc this month from the command group.
When I first started my orc/goblinoid sculpting studies, I intended to find the root of a style. I having been looking back at what has influenced what we see as the classic orc and find what I wanted to see. I disliked the comedy orc look and wanted something more serious but not pure animalistic. There's a lot of Tolkien and Mcbride in my sculpts and now I'm edging towards Ploog/Bakshi....maybe even some Froud now as well. But they all influenced each other and I will eventually settle on a style.
